Obama, Karzai Call for “Taliban Office” in Afghanistan

The Taliban, which harbored al Qaeda in Afghanistan in the lead up to the 9/11 attacks on America in 2001, will have an office in Afghanistan and engage in direct talks with the democratic government there, President Barack Obama and Afghan President Hamid Karzai affirmed at a joint White House news conference Friday.

“Ultimately security gains must be matched by political progress, so we’ve recommitted our nations to a reconciliation process between the Afghan government and the Taliban,” Obama said. “President Karzai updated me on the Afghan government’s road map to peace, and today we agreed that this process should be advanced by the opening of a Taliban office to facilitate talks.”

Karzai agreed this would be an important step for the peace process.

The Senate would never vote to remove

So what? The House has an obligation to impeach whenever high crimes and misdemeanors are committed. Collusion with a terrorist organization directly tied to 9/11 sounds like treason to me. But let's have hearings and find out.

Removal from office would never happen and is not necessary. However the stain of impeachment would incur some justice. If the Senate were to remove Obama then that would be even better. I am not whining. I am calling for action from people in the Congress to do their job. What are you whining about? :-)

Sure; give the Taliban all they want. Just like giving Iran all they wanted in Iraq.

I’m currently watching “The Prime Minister” on TCM, about Disraeli. He was a hawk who mobilized against the then-Axis forces while the entire Parliament was against it.

No, it’ll be the moderate Muslims and women/girls who will bear the brunt of this idiotic policy.

The fundamental Muslims will punish those Muslim heretics and Infidel collaboraors in their midst. They don't have much choice if they follow the religion as written in the Koran and Hadiths.

There is no solution to this Islamic problem unless Muslims give up their belief in their God. (Allah)
Since so many Muslims are willing to die for Islam by killing us Infidels, it looks like it is a long way off.

We could poison the religion by liberating the women, but the Muslim fundamentalists understand that, and severely punish any females who stray toward or encourage an Infidel lifestyle.
Female Muslims like Huma Abedin get a pass because she is in a position as Hillary Clinton's companion, to help the Muslim cause, and her immediate family is tied to fundamental Muslim causes. Outspoken women who stray from the fundamental beliefs of Islam will be seveerly punished by the fundamentalists.-Tom

Where are all the morons who thought spending multiple trillions of tax dollars and sacrificing thousands of Americans while fighting compassionate wars, was somehow a smart or honorable thing?

We left the emperor of Japan in place.

And we had ex-Nazis in government in W. Germany.

BUT WE STOMPED THEIR ASSES INTO THE DIRT FIRST, O-DUMBO!

Well ya see Capt. Tom, this is what happens when ya fight wars with compassion!

On the first day of bombing Afghan military targets, our Air Force was busy delivering charity food packages stamped “This food is a gift from the United States of America.”

The policy of dispersing food over hostile terrain—before the enemy has been eliminated, would once have been condemned as treason.

But that’s OK Capt. Tom, because Bush had a compassionate heart of gold!!

So lets continue to be compassionate Capt., and welcome the Taliban to the table...Lets give them a warm, compassionate welcome!!

So lets all talk our young people into joining the military for the compassionate cause!

Even those moves might be regarded as error in hindsight. Can’t trust the Dems to do anything right after a war . . .

To render assistance or counsel. Any act that deliberately strengthens or tends to strengthen enemies of the United States, or that weakens or tends to weaken the power of the United States to resist and attack such enemies is characterized as aid and comfort.

Article 3, section 3, clause 1 of the U.S. Constitution specifies that the giving of aid and comfort to the enemy is an element in the crime of Treason.

As I have said many times in the past on FR, both Bush and Tony Blair were, and are, still numb sculls when it comes to addressing the threat of Islam.
Bush and his "Islam is religion of peace", and "We all worship he same God" and Tony Blair with "Its about Muslim grievances.

Infidel leaders Bush and Blair set us Infidels back at least 5 years in recognizing the Islamic threat.
Generals to this day are not inclined to lock horns with dangerously stupid Commanders in Chiefs. But these Generals are willing to get their young soldiers under them killed by a stupid approach to this religious war. - Tom

That redounds to The Art Of War 10:23.
If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight, even though the ruler forbid it …
Who is really more qualified to conduct an actual war, the politicians or the generals?

We beat their ass so THEY WON.

Funny isn’t it, they won so their economy is stuck
in 1970.

If they had lost, we would have built them a new
infrastructure and seen their economy bloom.

Hahaha.

FDR calls for a Nazi office in Paris, France
Truman calls for a Japanese office in China, Korea, and the Phillipines
Lincoln calls for a Confederate office in Washington DC
George Washington calls for a British office in New York and Pennsylvania
Reagan calls for a Soviet Union office in every country in the world.
