Did she have a baby with her, or why was she carrying a diaper bag around?

I think she should have had the presence of mind to know she had a gun in her diaper bag before she went through a metal detector

This is from another Philly.com article:
Jones was with her infant and an aunt at the school Thursday morning, Nodiff said, and the child is now in the aunt's custody.

Probably not. I imagine she got it cheap for protection, but what else could they do, especially today?

don’t you think manufacturers should use serial numbers on their products? what kind of business does that? how would any warranty work be done, or repairs, or inventories?

I think if I buy something and choose to remove the serial number from my property, its my business.

How does that work for repairs or warranty work or re-sale? How many of your weapons don’t have serial numbers now?

Serial numbers and permits are an infringement in my opinion. Serial number ranges is how you can be notified of potential malfunctions and factory corrections to those mechanical problems. Registering them with the government is another matter.
