I actually think he’ll get one more shot, because somebody will be desperate enough to pick him up off waivers. Nobody will trade for him though. And that shot might not get past the pre-season. But I do think there’s enough teams with nothing but question marks at the QB position that when the Jets dump him to the waiver wire somebody will give him a shot.

Very possible. Someone might give him a shot, but there are some things working against him right now:

1)He is still convinced he can be a starting, franchise quarterback somewhere and really won’t be happy with anything less. It’s fine to show up at camp and compete for the job, but a backup has to be happy being a backup. Tebow is not in that place right now.

2)He is just marginally talented enough, combined with a truly winning personality, to continually be a ‘fan favorite’ type of player. Those type of folks end up creating position controversies no matter where they go.

3)The spotlight is a big problem. Fair or not, Tebow is not a starting caliber QB and he gets way too much media attention for a back up. Worse, much of the coverage is about his religious and personal life rather than even being about football. That would inevitably cause disruptions for any team he goes to. Just look at this thread, Tebow has a fan base that believes he is being aggrieved. Half of these people probably don’t know anything about NFL football, but they’ve convinced themselves that Tim is being persecuted because of his faith. Teams don’t like that kind of controversy and might shy away from taking a chance on someone with a built in storyline like that.
