I routinely bash LE on this forum , just from my personal lifetime experience, I label LE as “Revenue Enhancement Agents” (I have been in morning meetings where the oncoming shift gets Rahh Rahhed into looking for Tourists cause that is where the money is)
You seem to be different... tell me how LE “Stops Crime”, better yet tell me why I should ever even speak to LE.
All of the LE I know thinks “Anyone that is not LE is Guilty of something, just have to find it”
I’m old ... I still remember the “Protect and Serve” and I miss those days. Example of today’s LE ... Last Year I was pulled over for failure to Signal ... and as I told the Officer “There is no one behind me, no one in front of me, no one to the left of me and I saw you 3 blocks to the right of me waiting at the Red Light, so just who in the Hell am I signalling for?”
His response ... after detaining and searching my truck was “Well you know that when the Sun goes down the Cockroaches come out”
The Man in the Passenger seat was related to the Mayor... we were not even moving again and he is on the phone ... It pissed me off that he made that call, it pisses me off even more that you have to be LE or related to Politicians to be just left alone.
I know fishing when I see it, I know assholes when I meet them and I know what is wrong when I have to deal with it.
LE better get a grip and pick a side.

You are certainly right about politicians and their relatives sense of privilege. I’ve found myself on the bad end of it before.
I don’t deny that plenty of LE are A*+holes. There are about three in my station that I will immediately send away if they show up at an incident I have the handle on. I certainly hope you challenged the citation.
On a side note I’m also a Texan. Born in Jasper, and now trapped on the left coast.
