Chicagos illustrious Police Chief, Superintendent or SuperNintendo (whichever you wish to call him) got on a local radio station in Chicago and told it like he perceives it. He said that citizens licensed to carry could be, and indeed predicted they would be shot by Chicago Police Officers.

Reloading is the way to go, and it's a lot of fun, too. If you shoot .45 Colt, it's almost not optional, IMHO. The equipment will pay for itself pretty quickly.
Seems like someone forgot to put the rest of his statement up...the part where he explains it.
Apparently his officers were told that if someone turns around on them with a gun in their hand (not in a holster), then they will get shot and that his officers do not have an obligation to wait to get shot to return fire.
That sounds like what freepers say all the time!! Better to get judged by 12 than carried by 6 sort of thing.
good twist
I don’t think many here want to hear that kind of stuff.
Cops are generally not quiet, so they are screaming at you, most likely to drop your gun!
*******************************************
Reminds me of the guy that was killed at the Costco in Nevada. Witnesses said several cops were yelling different orders.
“Get on the ground”
“Drop your gun”
“Turn around”
All prudent things for a cop to yell - just not all at once. Witnesses also said the gun was in a soft carrying holster - which I suppose in the rush of things may have looked like a gun to the cops when they killed.
Seems some training for the cops would be good as well as for the CC folks.
They don’t dare shoot criminals. The good chief was admitting it is safer for his officers to shoot law-abiding citizens than it is to go after gang-bangers.
You can’t shame stupid and stupid is endemic to Chicago.
He replied: Ahh, ok then, Just don't shoot me with the damn thing.
And he didn't write up a speeding ticket either.
The City of Chicago is an organized crime organization. The Chicago Police Dept. is a revenue center for protection, extortion, murder for hire and keeping the natives in line. The only criminals ever arrested are independents or ones not paying tribute.
“Rank and file officers usually ignore them and consider them dangerous because they never really have their backs.”
I’l ditto that. The Chicago rank and file can’t stand this 30 IQ moron. Read all about it here:

I cannot possibly give you or any other nit picker an answer that will fit all officers and all situations. Could you?
You don’t know whether I am or not anymore than I know whether your dad was. It’s also irrelevant.
We are ALL going to have to make tough choices soon enough.

that was also when parents stayed togther to raise the kids correctly, everyone went to church, and schools actually educated people. I remember those days.
I once knew a cop, actually an in-law, who arrested a guy for “assalt and battrie”. I’m serious.
How many cops would turn down a fed who “asked” him or her to “help them out” and go bust some doors down and confiscate some guns? They’d feel like they were CIA, FBI, KGB and all them other letters.
You are certainly right about politicians and their relatives sense of privilege. I’ve found myself on the bad end of it before.
I don’t deny that plenty of LE are A*+holes. There are about three in my station that I will immediately send away if they show up at an incident I have the handle on. I certainly hope you challenged the citation.
On a side note I’m also a Texan. Born in Jasper, and now trapped on the left coast.
“I consider in his city the U.S. Constitution is of little importance.”
Yeah, in that one and also in another one named Washington, D.C.
In the coming months, we’re going to discover of how little importance those who hold the reins regard it as being...

Duh, sounds like McCarthy would fail the mental haywire test.
I cannot give an answer to cover all officers, all departments, and all policies. In many departments, if a federal agent asks a patrolman to help bust down a door and confiscate property the officer would not comply and he would contact a supervisor to come to his location. And the chances are that the supervisor would contact a higher ranking supervisor.
