Moving Company Reports People Fleeing Illinois & New Jersey

The St. Louis based moving company United Van Lines is reporting that Illinois leads the nation alongside New Jersey with the nations highest move out rates.

United Van Lines spokeswoman, Melissa Sullivan told CBS affiliate KMOX in St. Louis, 60.5% of their business comes from individuals and businesses leaving Illinois. She also said, “Illinois has seen more outbound movement every year since” they have been keeping track, beginning in 1977.

Here is an observation if anybody needs the info. Rhis is about 11 miles north of Wasilla, Alaska.

Just down the road from my house is a big laundromat, they also rent Uhaul trucks there, usually there is only a dozen, The last month I am seeing a full lot, maybe two zone or more.

By not being a regular Uhaul dealer its just a small operation. I think we are seeing an immigration trend herein Alaska, and our state wide population has increased about 70,000 from last year. That was announced this morning.

I can help with that, just let folks know that South Carolina is full of people like me, a white haired old redneck, born and raised within ten miles of the site of the first secession meeting, descended from confederate veterans on both sides of the family, baptized in a mill pond back in the fifties, Navy vet, voted for a Bush for president four times, well versed in the art of harnessing a mule but totally lacking in political correctness and don’t give a flip who don’t like it. I could go on but you get the idea, you don’t want to be around people like me. I have been known to irritate whole groups of people in a single day and I am considered very worldly, overeducated and sophisticated for this area. Skip on over SC and go to Florida. Besides me there are Coyotes, Wildcats, Bears, rabid Raccoons, drug dealers with pit bulls, Diamondbacks, Copperheads, Cottonmouths, Black Widows (both kinds), Brown Recluse, Alligators and Holy Rollers. Stay away for your own good! Oh, the weather is awful too, hot summers, hot springs, hot falls, even hot winters except for the rare ones when you have sleet, snow, freezing rain and ten degree temperatures.
