You’re blaming the feds, but citing a muddled media report from the day of the shooting, and even that report attests the information to “federal and local officials”, and “several officials”. So, you have no idea what officials said what, or which stories where told to that media outlet by which official. The media rushed to press with a sensational story before they could verify anything, and like they always do, they got details wrong. That doesn’t require a conspiracy theory.
