The Crossroads of the West Gun Show attracted thousands of firearms enthusiasts to Ontario Convention Center today. The crowd was so large that officials slowed entry to the show to a virtual crawl during the show's early hours to avoid overcrowding the venue.
Crossroads of the West typically attracts about 7,000 visitors during its Ontario appearances, show owner Bob Templeton said. He expects double that amount this weekend.
The crowd, he said, is likely a reaction to expectations that Congress will at least give serious consideration to major gun control legislation this year. For example, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., has proposed a new federal assault weapons ban that would outlaw more than 100 specific weapons and magazines that can carry more than 10 rounds of ammunition, among other provisions.

Hubby tried to go to gunshow in Marietta, GA early this morning. There were no parking spaces and the line to get in snaked around the bldg and had at least a 2 hour wait.
He ended up just coming back home.
“Ontario, CA”
Lol People who didn’t get it already are going to think CA is an abbreviation for Canada
Some people don’t visit the link if the article didn’t need to be excerpted in the first place.
Ontario Canada is a province, a good sized one at that. One should be able to deduce from the story that a city is the subject
funny.
Then there is London, Ontario which is another source of confusion.
LOL! I’m 63 and use the same spiel.
Absolutely.
He has made me buy more and different kinds of guns than I ever would have guessed.
If it’s any consolation to the Canadians, folks in the USA know even less about Mexican States. I almost said Americans, but all three countries are North American
I went to a local gun show today and was shocked at the prices. Especially on AK’s and AR’s. What used to be cheap AK’s are not $1700. Supply and demand. Big demand!
One AR-15 I had that was a LEO model we bought a few years back for $350 was $3,000.
I haven’t seen any comments regarding the ammunition backlog we had a couple of years ago. Remember when they couldn’t keep it stocked. People were lining up at the doors to buy everything delivered. Same thing here except there are real indications that something is in the works to thwart gun ownership.
I think "Oregon," but then again I live in the Treasure Valley. Ontario is that town just across the Snake from Payette.
I guess it would depend on what you are trying to buy, but I haven’t heard of any shortages here. People can get what they want, either at local gunstores, mail order, or by waiting for good deals at the gun shows.
It used to be that when I went to the show, I would walk around and check different vendors’ prices, and then go back later to who I wanted to buy from. Now, it’s quite common for individual people to be buying bulk—several cases of ammo at a time, several dollies full of cases, so much so that when you find what you need, you have to buy it right then. But vendors seem to be well stocked.
Fun to sit out by the show entrance and watch people roll out loads and loads of bullets. Really does put a smile on my face. The gun grabbers have NO idea what they are up against.
Yeah: I never heard of it.
I’m glad I didn’t go over there. Thanks for confirming my good judgement.
