Some reports saying 7.7, this site saying 6.6
Sorry I can't find more info at this point.
Sending prayers your way.
7.2 0 followed by 5.0 aftershock...

Believe it or not, the first news report that shows up on a google search is from Al Jazeera.
Didnt even feel it in Anchorage area,,,
The quake was felt in SE Alaska and Port Alexander had a 6 inch wave.
Just FYI:
The first one or more Google results are often pay-for-placement results.
Google is increasingly unreliable.
Being that Alaska overlayed across the continental states would reach from AZ to Maine not everyone will feel an earthquake in Alaska. We get quakes almost every five minutes up here in the 2.5 category, of which some people back east feel they must change their underwear after one passes.
I have been in a 6.5 and no biggee, hardly anything even moved in the house, maybe its the extra thick walls full of insulation or its the ground but I know for a fact quakes happen all the time right under me as I live right on a fault line that runs just north of Wasilla to Willow. But they heave to be at least 5.0 before I notice them, might just be a geography, its mostly rock under me.
I chose my property well, at least I’m not on an alluvial silt plain, thats the bad place to live, ground turns into oatmeal.
Thanks for the info.
At 7.7 mag & 6 miles underground, it sounded a bit worrisome.
Glad you’re ok.
I just never thought it would come to where news items would be bought & paid for by Al-Jazeera no less. With them giving AlGore those mega-millions, now the libs at Google, makes we wonder what's going on.
Her they beat out the other america hating front called the
Huff Puff Compost !
What a shock
It’s a left wing propaganda outlet !
The huff puff compost is the first hit now on all searches !

I like this site the best, keeps refreshing after awhile. Scroll down and more info about the earthquakes.
Hey, I had the same experience — first heard about it on Aljazeera. It hit in an area where I spend my summer vacations.
Google ranking is also based on sites other people are searching and/or visiting, so the Current TV deal may be a factor.
Canada Ping!
Thanks for the link.
