The limousine elites with their personal entourages of highly armed private contractor security are behind the agenda and push to disarm average law abiding AmericansIf you hire a security force, or agency, then you are a gun-owner by proxy. We need to start referring to these people as proxy gun owners.

It might be even more stinging to call them “gun renters”, but we surely need for someone to point out the hypocrisy every time they open their mouths.

It’s going no where. This is just political cover for when the IL liberals are “forced” to pass CC by the courts. Illinois is never what it seems. This isn’t the Land of Lincoln, but the Land of Illusions.

This is just political cover for when the IL liberals are forced to pass CC by the courts. What is the point? The number of people who actually support "gun control" are a tiny minority of the population. They have no significant number of votes. It makes much more sense to see this as a last minute desparation ploy by those ideologues who want the rest of us disarmed.

"Be a shame if some of the traitors voting for this were found to be victims of accidental hangings come Monday morning." Not time for that quite yet. The tar and feathers must come first so their next public pronouncements will be made sans hair and eyebrows.

What is the point? They’ll need political cover. The money and votes from the areas these politicians are from do support gun control. This won’t pass and it’s against the national trend and the trend in law. Even liberal legal scholars admit that the 2nd Amendment is an individual right with very, very few limitations.
Why are they pushing same-sex marriage at the same time? Didn’t anybody count the votes or set this up in advance? It’s a political ploy.

Thank God I don't work or live in Illinois, but if I did I would certainly be on the phone with them. But now with more shootings across the country taking place, it just seems as though someone is making these shootings happen just so the public can get enraged enough, and to push their state governments hard enough, to finally pass the gun laws Obama wants.
Is anyone else seeing this as a possibly other than me?

I don't think there is any nefarious entity "creating" these shootings for a political agenda. It's simply the huge number of new guns on the scene. Gun purchases aren't accurately kept, so saying anything meaningful is difficult, but since Obama took office, there were 70 million background checks. Does that translate proportionately into total gun purchases? Not sure.
If it does, let's say 1/2 of those checks were made for existing owners. So, that means 35,000,000 new owners. If we assume 1% of the population are unstable wackos on meds, then there are 350,000 new guns out there in the hands of questionable people. Is this number enough to explain a rise in misuse?
Please feel free to adjust my figures for any other factors, I'd be interested in a discussion.

So what happened???
Did they have a vote or not?

Land of Lincoln is appropriate, Lincoln was a vile individual, worst president in american history, 100 times worse than Obama could ever hope to be in his wildest dreams Responsible for the unnecessary deaths of 100's of thousands of good americans protesting government oppression
Based upon his actions, If Lincoln were alive today he would be spearheading the gun ban surge

ILLINOIS HOUSE ADJOURNS WITH NO MOVEMENT ON GUN BILLS BUT DO NOT BE MISLED
As reported earlier, the House version of the Cullerton Gun Grab Bill was supposed to be debated before the House Judiciary Committee I at 2:00 PM today. The Chairman of the committee convened the committee, announced that there would be no gun bills debated for the rest of the session, then adjourned.

Dead in committee. As long as they don’t re-convene before the deadline on Wednesday at least...
Keep an eye on them.
