Aye, they make fine clubs. The bayonet on the dragoon and carbine models is very useful but the 91 and 91/30 are tremendously overlong for modern bayonet drill. They were designed to be used with a difficult and largely forgotten "bayonet fencing" method. The Soviets improvised a simple "brace-and-skewer-the-running-Kraut" drill without technique or parry to make do. It was all most of the conscripts could absorb, anyway.
Come to think of it, brace-and-skewer-the-charging-Kevlar-wearing-fascist-thug is workable. I'm told that the cruciform bayonet punctures body armor like a hot ice pick passes through butter.
