I’m still waiting on the statistic (that’s been suppressed by the media for decades)about how many lives have been saved because of a gun. Where’s that stat??

How many lives have been saved ....

Say ... Did you know that Kim Kardassian is pregnant? Look over there! A Shiny Object!

It's kept with the stat which proves that driving at night with your headlights ON reduces the number of wrecks.

I’m not sure the numbers really interest me...Even if rifes caused twice or three times as many deaths or none at all, I know that I will never kill somebody with mine unless it’s in self-defense, property defense, or to topple a tyranny.

Once we get sucked into the numbers games, people will skew statistics to suit their arguments ad nauseum. It amounts to playing their game.

We have a Constitutionally guaranteed right to be armed. It would take an ammendment to the Constitution to change that. Until such an ammendment is passed, I don’t care if every murder in America is performed with a rifle, they won’t be taking mine.

Estwing makes a great line of assault hammers but
my favorite has always been my rigging axe.

Makes a great throwing hawk.

to ban hammers and clubs they’d have to go after Stanley,
Estwing, Vaughn, and Louisville Slugger.

Don’t forget the ammo! Burying stuff in PVC pipe might be a good trick, but stashing them in the attic or crawl space won’t work. They will just use bomb sniffing dogs to find the hidden stash.

I have a friend who was a K9 officer with a bomb sniffing dog. I ran in to him one day in the parking lot of the local federal building when he was doing his parking lot sweeps. It was an extremely windy day (25mph+) and I asked him if the wind affected the dog. He put the dog on stay and walk ay about 3 lanes over with the wind and withdrew a spare loaded clip for his Beretta 9mm on a tire of one ofthe cars.

He then walked back to the dog, released him and gave the command to search. that dog found the clip within 10 seconds. This was just 15 bullets, not a hug cache of ammo or explosives.

“So Mr. CEO of Home Depot, you say that anyone with a few bucks can just walk right into your store, grab an assault hammer, with no ID check, and purchase as many as they want?”

As a matter of fact, I got my "Dead On Annihilator" assault hammer at a Texas Home Depot store... no background check, no waiting period, nuthin'.

It even has a BEER BOTTLE opener!

I know virtually nothing about burying/hiding "stuff". I do however remain gainfully employed because of the law enforcement community and Judicial Branch in my state and and have a lot of connections because of it. I know that it's not quite as simple as burying in PVC. :-)

50k/year used to be annual deaths in car crashes.

Despite more people and more miles driven, the number has worked its way down to around 30k.

My boss is a retired Sheriff. He said he saw more people killed with baseball bats than guns during his career. Bats are quieter.

And more children die in mop buckets, toilets and bathtubs than are killed in “alcohol-related” vehicle “crashes”, but statistics don’t matter to the people in charge.

They will just use bomb sniffing dogs to find the hidden stash.

The last time I went to an airport for any reason (and will never do so again), the dogs lit up on what had to be primer and powder residue in my pickup.

I would revert to horseback, but I have that stuff all over the tack as well.

Sheesh!

“Hammers are the weapon of choice among biker gangs when beating each other”

That’s actually a really good point which I had forgotten about. The outlaw motorcycle guys are always concerned about carrying a gun or anything classified as a weapon given that they usually have felony convictions or on parole which prohibits them from possession, and rather than get caught on a weapons charge instead carry hammers, chains, etc. which can be “innocently” carried but be otherwise used with malicious intent.
