When speaking of the GOP caving to Democrats, It is always “when” and never “if”. GOP caving is a given, like the sun rising in the east and setting in the west.

I realize that reference to Whigs at FR is something of a throwaway line, but Whiggism was the revolutionary philosophy that compelled us to independence.
