Well, isn’t the whole country ‘run’ by the aides and staffs?
I had ‘tongue in cheek’, jokingly, said “Lets just pay them ALL 5 or 10 mill per yr”, let them hire their own staff, pay their own transportation, meals, baby sitters, maintaining 2nd house, retirement package, if they want to hire their wife, mother, grandmother etc - no problem.
The certain ‘check points’ - pesky little things like budgets, etc - if not met, will have a penalty assessed.

They used to tell us ‘years ago’ that if their ‘steady pay raises’ were not met we might end up with grifters, gypsies, tramps and thieves, felons, disbarred judges, welfare queens, tax cheats, drug users etc etc etc as members of the House, Senate and Cabinet Members.

So, I am glad ‘we’ caved to their demands so we were able to ensure NONE of the above would be passing laws and judgement upon us.
We have a Black pResident, a goofy Vice pResident, gonadless Speaker of the House, female Sec of State, Black Atty Gen, Several female and Minority Cabinet heads, 3 women and 1 Black on the Supreme Court AND YET we ‘allow’ them to campaign on the fact that Minorities and Women are 2nd class citizens who WE, are holding back.

Here we are on the ‘brink’ of economic destruction (<:) and these fools are running around in Govt Aircraft and Vehicles like the fleet was made up of used Yugos with the ‘jet setting’ first Family living better than royalty ALL on our dime.
