There are a few facts to consider:
The “Bush Tax Cuts” are now PERMENENT, for couples making less than $450K
The low Dividend Tax rate is also now PERMENENT.
We still have the opportunity to fight other spending elements as we move to the battle on the debt ceiling.
So, if we move from the headlines to the details, this may have been the best possible outcome.
It does fall short in that there are about 200 politicians I’d like to see behind bars, but, that’s just me.
RINO apologist begone!
Bumping...
How DARE you show some perspective! Don’t you realize that the only reactions allowed here are “KNEEJERK”?
There sometimes seems to be a competition called “Who Hates the Republicans More?” The contest is a tight one between conservative purists and Demonrat activists.
I am not thrilled with the 42 to 1 ratio of tax hikes vs spending cuts....but IF the Republicans can seriously hold their mettle on the debt ceiling, this may be the best we can do for now. We still only have half of one third of the federal apparatus.
permenent?
Were the Reagan tax cuts permanent?
There is no debt limit since it always gets raised.
LOL. Permanent? Only insanity is permanent in D.C. A future Congress filled with enough Statists can un-permanent these tax rates. Ryan and many other GOP seem to believe foremost in State power.
All so called Conservatives should be asked first if they believe government is a necessary evil. If they cringe at the word evil then you know they are NO conservative.
