A top House Republican lashed out at party leaders Wednesday over a decision to end the session without a vote on aid for Superstorm Sandy victims, going so far as to urge constituents to stop donating to congressional Republicans.

"I'm saying anyone from New York and New Jersey who contributes one penny to congressional Republicans is out of their minds," Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., told Fox News. "What they did last night was put a knife in the back of New Yorkers and New Jerseyans."

Hey King, that is how we Conservatives have felt for decades that the GOP is sticking a knife in our back.

Frankly, Sandy relief isn’t my problem. It is Obama’s problem, he owns it. He can give them a few bucks from his Foreign Aid stash. As far as the pork that was tacked on to the Aid Bill, that’s just standard operating procedures for the best politicians that money can buy.

We need a man like Calvin Coolidge who had the courage to say that your hardships aren’t the fault or responsibility of government.

Nice PR for King to his constituents, which is probably all that it is - but seems EVERYONE in the USA is a victim and needs money from uncle sam.

One of the few things they did right last night.

Send and pass a relief bill that is ONLY Sandy relief and that might be acceptable. If whatever relief bill does not have strict accountability rules to ensure that corrupt local, state, and federal politicians keep their filthy paws off the money then it should die as well. These states are acting like N.O. after Katrina. Those affected states would better emulate Mississippi after Katrina and not wait for the handouts that will never reach anyone in need anyway.

Maybe Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y. should be pissed off at his fellow Senator who LOADED the bill up with 2 times more PORK then what the actual bill was for dollar wise!

I mean it is about time we start having RIGHTEOUS indignation in this country instead of political posturing.

OK, Rep. King, you explain to me what Alaska fisheries and old maintenance on the Smithsonian (along with a thousand other little pork chops) have to do with the damage from Hurricane Sandra. I'm disappointed this bill was allowed to die a natural death at the end of term rather than being voted down.

It was funny listening to a Congressman try to explain how earmarked funds in this bill weren't pork barrel spending. He couldn't even lie effectively.

I’m ahead of the pack.

As of today, I’m no longer giving anything to any republican or democrat.

Except - perhaps - to take a bodacious Obama in their name.

BOOWHOWHOWHO.....he is breaking my lil tax payer heart, the poor lil thing.

Cry to someone who cares....you cretins just guaranteed another 4 trillion added to the national debt. Do you think I care about your hurricane relief money? Adding 41 bucks in taxes to 1 dollar in spending cuts is not getting me to give a shiite about your wants.

Get rid of Boner and start taking our country back and maybe, just maybe, I will start to care (just a little).

And virtually all spending in this country is the same way. Things like highway funding has something like 30% legally skimmed right off the top for other spending.

Sorry, I’m broke and can’t help. I just sent a big check to State Farm for my homeowners insurance. I do that so I don’t have to beg the government for a handout when disaster strikes.

Over Sandy relief? Nope. Can’t do it, because they’ve already been cut off for worse crimes than that.

These guys are incredable. Five minutes after they passed a tax increase of about 60B/year they want to spend all of it on Sandy. Considering that they would have never taken out the 20B of non-sandy related spending I don’t give a crap. I stopped sending GOPe cash years ago. If they cannot pass a clean bill during an emergency then screw em. My late father taught me, “Son money only spends once”. He was always right.

They act like $60 billion is no big deal. Sequestration money is $54.7 billion but somehow we can’t afford that?

That is SO right! With all due respect to Sandy Victims in N.Y., N.J., I'm getting so tired of hearing of some of them whining and boo hooing, after they have ALREADY received tons of donations and tons of money$$$! Again, they should be petitioning their dear saviour,Barack Obobo!
