This year has been quite a storm. Three hundred sixty-five days in a cyclone with fierce weather on all fronts: an economy tossing around in fits and starts; politics stalled by fog and precipitation, with heavy rains arriving in the fall to wash away Republican hopes of winning the White House and both houses of Congress.
What about the coming year?
No doubt we will again find ourselves at years end shaking our heads and contemplating what has happened, especially the unexpected.
Here are a few of my educated guesses and a bit of speculation about what 2013 has in store.
--snip--
●In the fullness of time, following the New Years celebration, leaders of the conservative-dominated GOP (Republicans Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. are in tears) will prostrate themselves and acknowledge that the unceremonious rejection of Republicans on election night had nothing to do with the gifts Mitt Romney charged were given to the 47 percent of Americans by President Obama but, rather, that 63 million Americans didnt think much of a political brand that has been hijacked by the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, the tea party and other assorted right-wingers. Following that cathartic event, intraparty bloodletting will begin.
●Sarah Palin will try her hand at a series of economic, domestic and foreign policy speeches to signal a presidential run in 2016. Media will be ecstatic. Party stalwarts will be apoplectic.
●Democrats will launch a ground war singularly focused on retaking the House in 2014. Nancy Pelosi, accompanied by a surprise combatant, President Obama, will lead the charge...

Best wishes to everyone for a happy New Year! In the coming days there will be a great deal of debate about the goings-on in the political arena and the shenanigans in Washington. Constitutional commonsense conservatives must stay engaged and hold our leaders accountable to the voice of average everyday hard working Americans or we will very soon become an enslaved, bankrupt former nation of greatness. So, please keep the faith heading into this new year. And for now, remember to be grateful for the blessings and opportunities God has given us as independent individuals, as caring members of families, as honorable businesses and communities, and as countrymen who understand this most exceptional nations foundations of strength. Weve been given all this for yet another year; lets not take it for granted. In this new year, as jobs change with doors closing and opening, kids growing, relationships evolving, and life throwing curveballs, may you resolve to stay engaged and optimistic. May you pick your battles wisely. And may you live life vibrantly! God bless you all and God bless our great country as we promise to live out 2 Chronicles 7:14. Heres to liberty!

I still support her fully, and I totally agree with what you said.
But, this (next) time around, I will wait to see the situation.. If she wants to come forth, I am 100% behind her, win or lose.. She, in my opinion, is on track for the way the country was supposed to be.. she would correct, or at least attempt to.. She got most of the corruption out of Alaska in record time. She has more balls than 99.9% of any other ‘Repub’ we now have, and that says a lot.
On the other hand, if she does not run, we just have to see how things go (and it, obviously, will not be pretty.. unless another Conservative (with a BIG C) steps up.
Even after 8 years of the POSIC (proper pronunciation of CIC), I doubt that we are ready to elect a woman to the top slot - too many Julia's.
If you’re going to criticize her, at least get your facts straight. She resigned 2/3 of the way through her term, not halfway through.
Quite frankly if she ran and won in 2016, took office in January of 2017, and then resigned again in August of 2019 after getting a few big things done(say real entitlement/spending reform, one or two more conservative SC justices, and one or two big foreign policy accomplishments) I’d be just fine with that.
I’d suggest she’d accomplish much more in those 2 and a half years and do more to put the country on the right path than Obama and W did in the 16 from 2001-2016.
Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.
Bully for her, how stellar.
Hgunner is too easy to read...Process, process, process...the rules are in his mind...what little bit he has left. He wants to be given respect, but he cannot do the same for others.
Palin may not have run perfectly, but she is so-far the best candidate we have.
If she runs, I hope you are enthusiastic in support of her.
How nice. I love you too, sweetiecakes.
Now toddle off and watch your pony videos or whatever fantasy garbage your mommy has bought you.
Honestly, if your most-favorite-political-crush can't stand a little jiving, then I'd call that pretty weak.
School me, do, in how to show proper reverence.
It would probably take Sarah Palin to lead Republicans out of the GOP and into a TEA party-type third party to restore the country. She would first need to undo the damage inflicted upon her by the Republicans, the Democrats, and their lap-dog media. She is completely capable of doing it. She’s a smart lady and a shrewd strategist.
She ran?
No doubt. Just a shame that people are to dumbed down and too disengaged to notice.

And I know just who should be her VP...
Lol. OK no, but almost.
Run Sarah Run.
