“When you go, let me know if theres any homes/property for sale in the neighborhood. Things are at an obvious end, here.”

Well, I left some time ago, first to central Europe.
I am now in the Philippines, since 2009.
Foreigners here can not own property, but you can lease it, even for 30 years or more.
I rent a nice little two room furnished cottage at a beach
for $100 per month.
I have a Philippine wife and our two year old baby boy.
We do not need a car here. I go by bicycle anywhere in town, or by bus to the cities.
RE: but you can lease it, even for 30 years or more.
Does this lease INCREASE in value and can you “sell” your lease at a higher price before the 30 years are up?

Not trying to scare you, but a lot of the beach front properties in New York and NJ were destroyed by Hurricane Sandy.
I hope you don’t live near a typhoon prone area.
Are the subhuman murderous troglodyte muslim filth getting a foothold over there, yet? I worry about not being as well-armed somewhere else, as I am here. Also, I’d want 20ac or more for SHTF. It does sound like a very idyllic life you three have; I admire that... All The Best.
