(CNSNews.com) - Appearing on NBCs “Meet the Press” on Sunday, President Barack Obama said that he cut spending by more than $1 trillion in 2011. However, the White House Office of Management and Budget says that federal spending increased by $147 billion from fiscal 2010 to fiscal 2011.
It is very difficult to deal with someone that committed to lying. He is no incumbered with having to deal with the truth or reality. He has his minions in the media covering from him.
A real media would rip him apart when he utters this nonsense.
If George Bush had said anything like this, the news media would have ripped him a new Obama.

I'm not making this up. On Fox News Boston this morning, the fiscal cliff situation was described as follows, "Democrats want to cut taxes for everybody, except the top 2%, while Republicans want to raise taxes on everyone."

Actually, this tactic — calling spending increases lower than some projection conjured out of dubious assumptions by one or more Federal agencies a “cut” — suggests to me a compromise for the “fiscal cliff”:
Give Obama everything he wants on the fiscal cliff issues except unilateral power to raise the debt ceiling in exchange for 1. abolishing the AMT (not adjusting the parameters, just outright abolishing it) and 2. abolishing all statutory authority and budgeting for agencies to do the calculations needed for baseline budgeting. Henceforth a spending cut must mean spending less than you used to, and any spending in amounts greater than the prior year for any purpose is a spending increase.
Geez, he must have told Moochelle to stop traveling in the taxpayers’ dollars. Good for him!
