More jobs in gun stores, more jobs in gun manufacturing & ammo & related supplies and transportation of same. All pluses.
Forgot to add, a better armed populace, the better able to fight gov tyranny, such as real gun grabs.
Leave it to the AP drama queens to describe gun purchasers as "frenzied buyers".
What a BS story. It makes it sound like people can buy guns and “assault rifles” specifically by phone or over the internet. It fundamentally ignores the basics of gun laws that require all interstate sales and most intrastate sales to go between federal firearms licensed dealers with background checks for all purchasers.
We are now Slaves of a Tyrannical Government in the former United States of America. A Tyrannical Government that is supported by a majority of our Countrymen who are either too stupid to breathe or complicit in deceit.
Rounds of bullets? I wonder which "expert" came up with that one. These are the people who want to write our laws.
“Fearful of ban, frenzied buyers swarm gun stores”
Oh, please....
I have access to quite a few firearm forums and as lately they are jammed with private sales of mags and ammo. Of course many are making one heck of a profit selling even smaller capacity mags and also some really cheap ammo at higher prices.
But what is happening is that its like throwing confetti out of a ten story building, everyone gets hit with it. Many more people are not just quitting when they see empty store shelves, no they are buying privately, there is no more record keeping, no paper trails, even firearms are being sold privately with a dead end registration.
people are wising up and ending any connection of ownership, more people than ever are more so armed than anyone could calculate. Doesn’t matter if a nationwide ban occurs overnight, the guns are gone behind the individual blades of grass.
Back when I was in jr. highschool, english teacher assigned our class to write a “newspaper article.”
We got a detailed lesson on denotative language versus connotative and were told points off for using connotative anywhere; only denotative language was allowed.
The posted article from AP would have gotten a grade of “F” in my jr. highschool english class. THAT is what journ-O-lists have come to. That is pathetic.
It ain’t exactly the BAN that they’re worried about....
I predict a mass wave of ice fishing accident this winter and thousands of canoe/boat accidents this spring
As ballast in the trunk?
I'm serious, did he or did he not leave the ar15 in the car?

...or the AP is trying to disuade buyers by alleging there is nothing to buy.
AP is nothing but the news for NYC.
Fearful of a ban?
I think fearful of an oppressive government would be a more accurate statement.
You save and save to get a nice military style rifle.
You are within a hundred of getting it!
Suddenly there is a run on the market and the price doubles!
So what do you do? Go into debt to get one or do without.
How I do it...
Buy the rifle.
Hide it in the closet for six months, then bring it out.
The wife says...”Where did you get that!”
You say, Oh I’ve had this for six months. Don’t you remember?”
Works for me.
I noted to a friend that there were no .223 or 9mm cartridges left in town (not much of an exaggeration) because of panic buying. He said that 30-06 and 45ACP ammo was still around because people who use those calibers don’t panic.
