Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas warned that he would disband his Palestinian Authority if there was no Israeli movement toward renewing peace talks after Israel's elections on January 22.
Abbas, in an interview with the Israeli daily Haaretz, said that if such a situation arose he would hand full responsibility for the occupied West Bank to the Israeli government.
"If there is no progress even after the election I will take the phone and call (Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu," Abbas said.
"I'll tell him... Sit in the chair here instead of me, take the keys, and you will be responsible for the Palestinian Authority."
"Once the new government in Israel is in place, Netanyahu will have to decide -- yes or no," Abbas said in the interview published on the paper's website late Thursday.

I didn’t know Abbas knew how to use a phone.
“Abbas vows to disband PA if Israel won’t talk”
And this is bad for Israel because....?
Of course, I expect the answer will be that the terrorists will then have sway in the West Bank and we will have another intafada, augmented this time by Hamas rockets, etc.
As bad as that might be, it is better than a phony piece process (spelling intented) designed for nothing else than the dismemberment of Israel. Moreover, there is every possibility that a power struggle will ensue if the PA dissolved and that means lots of Palestinians killing each other: Win-Win.

Yeah, you do that, you raghead. Hand over Gaza to the Israeli government and they’ll administer it, all right. With F-16’s and guided munitions and drone strikes, they’ll give you all the administering you bloody terrorists deserve and then some.
Allah forbid the Arabs on the West Bank be able to live in peace like the Arabs in Israel do.
The Arabs on the West Bank should be so lucky.
The people who call themselves ‘Palestinians’ continue their history of making every government that has had to deal with them, have to come down on them hard, just to survive.
My hasn’t that worked out well for this group of Arabs, detested by multiple nations they have offended over the last 60 years.
Well, maybe that might be a good thing if PA disbands. They didn’t do the average Palestinian any good as far as money in his pocket goes, because they’re a bunch of thieves.

If Abbas disbands the Palestinian Authority, precisely how is this a bad thing? The PA is as useless as tits on a boar. Abbas might consider leaving Palestine and moving to some third world Arab dump to live on his millions skimmed from primarily U.S. taxpayers.
The Vatican has an investment in this too:

Is this a threat or a promise?
Go Ahead...make my Day.
Will never happen.....The top PA people will not give up the millions they are skimming each year from European and US foreign aid
