Remember what Maya Angelou said - the oppressed don’t want to be free, the oppressed want to feel their boots on the necks of their former oppressors.

Doesn’t matter that that “oppression” doesn’t really exist when you’ve been generationally taught that you are oppressed.

Whatever the explanation, I blame Mr. "we-are-the-ones-we've-been-waiting-for" for the acceleration backwards. I've never seen or caught so much "empowerment" before that clown hit the scene. He has the bully pulpit, it's his to use. He could do his very own rendition of a "I Have a Dream" speech, or in the very least a lame can't-we-all-just-get-along. But he hasn't and he won't - not part of The Plan.
