The Weather Channel map looks like a Christmas card - plenty of green and RED. Rough ride out there tonight.

All is well. This is part of a multi-century pattern ~ of normal weather.
Mobile has been on again/off again suitable for settlement. There's a really fascinating record of great storms and tornados ~ if I had time I'd tie it all into sunspots.

Prayers for those affected. To this swamp yankee boy, tornados are scary as heck. Little to no warning and utterly destructive.

checking intellicast local and there were FOUR probable tornados in the area ~ advancing on Montgomery ~ and one was near Gulfport as well.
A good dozen storms with hail.
Some nasty stuff.

We’re here in Gulfport, right off the beach (just came back from visiting family in Mobile), and most of the tornado activity has been reported a little more north in the county areas north of I-10. So far, it’s been fairly calm just off the water.
