You're very heavy on lies, allegations and accusations.
The NRA is the premier gun rights organization in the US if not in the world. In case you didn't notice, the anti-gun nuts attacked the NRA, not the GOA, JPFO or SAF.
Federally funded armed guards is an exercise of police power.
Nowhere was there a call for a national "police force" for schools as you asserted. Why do you find it necessary to lie?
When I posted about how background checks that the NRA has supported to this day were abused with FIST, you didn't acknowledge it at all.
You lied when you stated the NRA is no friend of liberty and the organization supported limiting magazine sizes.
Are you sure you aren't Feinstein or a clone?
I don’t get what you’re trying to tell me, I supplied stats on GUN DEATHS in Australia which include suicide, accident and homicide as well as gun deaths that are the result of deaths caused by law enforcement officers in the course of their duties, and you quote me a reduction in gun related prosecutions - which means what? CARRYING A CONCEALED WEAPON?
Talk about manipulating statistics, I think that might just take the cake.
with whose money???
LAPIERRE: Now, the National Rifle Association knows there are millions of qualified and active retired police, active, Reserve, and retired military, security professionals, certified firefighters, security professionals, rescue personnel, an extraordinary corps of patriotic, trained, qualified citizens to join with local school officials and police in devising a protection plan for every single school.
We could deploy them to protect our kids now. We can immediately make Americas schools safer, relying on the brave men and women in Americas police forces. The budgets -- and you all know this, everyone in the country knows this -- of our local police departments are strained, and the resources are severely limited, but their dedication and courage is second to none. And, they can be deployed right now.
FORMER REP. ASA HUTCHINSON, R-ARK.: Thank you, Wayne...In my home state of Arkansas, my son was a volunteer with a local group called Watchdog Dads (ph) who volunteer their time at schools, who patrol playgrounds and provide a measure of added security. President Clinton initiated a program called Cops In School, but the federal response is not sufficient for todays task.
Whether theyre retired police, retired military, or rescue personnel, I think there are people in every community in this country who would be happy to serve if only someone asked them and gave them the training and certifications to do so.
I’m married to my AK. Marriage equality after all. You can’t take that away from me Feinstein.
Thank you for the post and the ping. The NRA haters are as irrational and ignorant as the Palin haters.
Not for sale Di.
If you were a person who owned a gun, but decided to get rid of it because you have morally decided that guns are bad, it would be nice if there was an inexpensive way to be sure that the gun you are getting rid of would never again be used.
Doesn’t have to be a government program; some private company could make a killing playing on the liberal angst over the guns they bought.
Let me get this right; You are going to take my money under threat of force, then you are going to take that money and “buy” my guns under threat of force? And this stupid bitch wonders why gun owners are paranoid.
“..Good God, are these people stupid!...”
No, they’re not.
Driven, yes. Insane, yes. Evil, yes.
Stupid, no. They know exactly what they’re doing.
And the worse part - they don’t give a f***.
They’ll touch off a civil war just to see it happen in their lifetime.
Great idea. In California, we have retired police officers already dragging down $200,000 a year at the age of 55. We can't afford it as it is and you cheer at the prospect of making it worse.
Even worse, emplacing Federal police powers within every school has the serious potential for abuse of power. For example, it could mean that Barack Obama would have the authority (pursuant to said "strings") to put schools on lockdown, denying entry to parents. If you don't think that the resulting "clarifying" "memoranda of understanding" of "compliance standards" to qualify for Federal funding wouldn't sport such a lovely feature then you don't know much about Federal bureaucracies.
Yeah, great idea. Take off the rose colored glasses and smell the coffee.
Public school teachers and administrators? LOL!
If school teachers and administrators refused the NRA training (training that just might change their minds about firearms) then the district would be entirely within its rights to find the current population of teachers and administrators "unqualified" for their jobs. Gosh, they might just have to hire people who have combat experience. Such a horror. /s
Think down the road a little and see what the NRA could have done with this situation. Instead, they are abetting the continuing Federal leviathan police state that is bankrupting us all.
Apparently such is your preference.
“...These people are exactly the reason for the Constitution. They are the very people our founders feared....”
They’re the EXACT reason for the Second Amendment.
It’ ain’t about duck hunting.
From the former Constitutional militia leader who broke Fast n Furious scandal:
Whatever bill passes, if it passes, and it contains any of the above we are obliged to disobey it obnoxiously and flagrantly. If they ban hi-cap magazines, we must make more, sell existing ones openly; if they ban private sales, we must hold our own no-check gun shows; if they ban even one type of semi-auto military pattern rifle, we must build our own assault weapons in contravention of the odious act. We must anger the powers that be to the point where THEY come at US. No Fort Sumters on our part. Let them kill us if they want to work their will upon us. After that, and only after that, it becomes the time of 4th Generation Warfare and One Hundred Heads.
And, although this is not the way to bet, if we make all that plain ahead of time, perhaps they will get the message and back off. May God grant it to be so.

“I dont have any guns for sale”
I dont have any guns for sale either.
If you buy ammo they know, let alone that pesky form you fill out when you buy a gun.
You have to sign in at most ranges. They track purchases made with credit, debit or check.
They know you have firearms and more so I refuse to hide. I’m proud to be a gun owner especially with my new sig 226 .40 cal elite dark nitron with the short reset trigger and night sights.

sadly, you are right!
“Watchdog Dads”—probably the best idea for security. Maybe they could keep an eye on the commie witches running the public schools, too.
You also forgot that Australia is surrounded by water. We have two open borders one each end. The Rio Grande is not much of an obstacle.
