Politics 2012: It hasn´t been two months since Barack Obama won re-election, but already we´re finding out things that were kept from us during the campaign. Expect to hear more in the coming months. lElections are clarifying events, we´re told. But sometimes what they clarify is merely the gap between what we were told during the campaign and the reality on the ground. Often, the two don´t match. That´s certainly true with Obama. How often in recent weeks have we learned that what we heard on the campaign trail from the Obama camp, and which were echoed by

You just never realized how well ol’ Joe Stalin could predict the future of Amerika.
With the anti-business views of most of the American people, I doubt they will ever admit wrongdoing in electing or reelecting Obama. People truly believe that they can force some rich neighbors to subsidize their own expenses.
So, does that mean that the American people are no longer capable of self-government and haven't been for decades?
I couldn't agree more. They haven't learned squat except that when everything goes wrong in their life it's the republicans fault.

I am completely with you. I consider my former friends who voted dem to be a personal enemy and can’t stand looking at them! I can now understand how the civil war split families and ended up with brother fighting brother!
True. They don’t know, don’t care and don’t understand what is at stake.
What they DO understand is “free stuff”. They could care less as long as the “free stuff” keeps coming. The sh*t’s gonna hit the fan though, when money runs out to continue paying for it.
I also think one of his main concerns will be some sort of catastrophe that allows him to go for a third term whether or not by election.
Spot on. Makes me sick to see it here in my country.
That is a great list, boookmarking your post. There are some fronts we can still fight, like voter fraud...but as far as educating the masses of idiots out there, we’ve lost that battle for now, at least for as long as it takes for 0bama policy to take a big wet chunk out of their butts. Maybe only then will their heads re-emerge.
Bitch and moan, bitch and moan, bitch and moan.
Result......... nothing
No action, no result.
What you said! My Brother In Law still says that because the dems horrible policies had the demonic results extended until after the elections, that most people have not yet felt the terrible sting from those policies.
By the way, he wasn’t talking about FReeper types. He was talking about those who don’t pay attention. They are in for a major shock and will be so stupid as to wonder what is happening. Like, “what the heck do you mean I can’t see the doctor for 2 months”.
It is coming.
They were willfully ignorant.
HHC’s husband.
I’m bookmarking this thread so I can find your info every time I need it. Thanks!
Thank you, Sal.
To say that Americans find they’ve been “duped” implies there’s some kind of awareness of what’s going on and regret for how they voted.
Last I checked, Obama was enjoying a 56% approval rating so it seems to me that Americans are largely pleased with themselves and their decision.
“So, does that mean that the American people are no longer capable of self-government and haven’t been for decades?”
If one has to ask that question...
To be a little less flippant — no, not -all- of the American people are like that. But a large, and growing, proportion of the population seems to be so. And with this non-self-governable cohort tipping towards the majority, the country won’t be able to continue for much longer short of some sort of calamity...
From the article.
They would vote for him again. Especially the dead ones.
So what was our choice? We all did our best to get a real Conservative nominated, but in November our next President was either going to be Obama or Romney. Should we choose the lesser evil, or make it easier for the greater evil to win?
Of course, it was all moot anyway, because as many including myself have pointed out, Most Americans in 2012 wanted their government freebies. I doubt even Reagan could have won in 2012.
