A U.S. Army brigade will begin sending small teams into as many as 35 African nations early next year, part of an intensifying Pentagon effort to train countries to battle extremists and give the U.S. a ready and trained force to dispatch to Africa if crises requiring the U.S. military emerge.

Hey, that’s great!
I’m sure we will lose 35 of them.
Nothing is worse than African wars. Even the mideast is a cakewalk compared to what our soldiers will see in Africa.
Yaaay...!
After building GIRLS schools in Afghanistan, and trying to start FEMINISM there, NOW for the topper we will —what?— jump over the moon? NOPE..!
Think bigger..!
We’ll SAVE AFRICA FROM **SOMETHING**..!!!
Ya want YOUR kid fighting there? Huh...? For anything...?
THAT’S WHAT I THOUGHT..!!!
McKenna acknowledged the challenge, but said the military has to tap its conventional fighting forces for this task because there aren't enough special operations forces to meet the global training needs.
(snip)
The brigade will be carved up into different teams designed to meet the specific needs of each African nation. As the year goes on, the teams will travel from Fort Riley to those nations - all while trying to avoid any appearance of a large U.S. military footprint.
No Green Berets...just regular Army grunts trying to teach the African militias while supposedly staying incognito.
Yeah, good to know we won’t be wasting any of our diminished defense budget on unnecessary stuff like, you know, defending our own country.
That’s right, the “fiscal cliff” is real relevent isn’t it, as U.S. military contractor fascism no problem ever, marches on.
“Avoiding the appearance of a large military footprint” :
1. Somalia
2. Bengazi
GRAB THE “OH SH&T.!” HANDLES..!
"Gotta help my people enough already helping whites all the time.. let's see.. not enough regulars.. bingo! I can get a two fer. I'll send National Guard to Africa that will open jobs for the millions of unemployed here!"
Obama’s adventures in intervention are the 21st century version of what was known to the English as “the white man’s burden.”
Chief Kenyan is up to something.
I still believe a “hidden power” is telling him what to do. In fact, this power is telling all the politicians what to do. Bilderberger?
This will spread our defenses even more. After Jan 20th he will announce he’s sign an EO eliminating all nukes. And I doubt one general will have the balls to even protest.
My first thought was that the “political unreliables” will be the first to be deployed.
My second thought was “When are these poor guys going to be allowed to be deployed at home for a full tour?”
I'm sure THAT will turn out well -- NOT.
Using Special Forces would make at least SOME sense, because their primary mission involves working with, and training, local forces. It would be good experience for SF team members.
Sending people with no training in the subject? Not so much.
Time to protest!
About 1 1/2 years back, he said they had a big future mission in the horn of Africa, (terrorism and such) in a year or two. I said Big "O" might get re-elected and he won't send Americans. He told me that decisions like this are made by people above the President,no joke. He said they have this all planned out years in advance. I bet what he was telling me was the complete truth and probably for the greater good of America in the end anyway.
With Valerie Jarrett in his ear constantly, I have no doubt.
I don’t know how we can take another 4 years.
