An error in the system is truncating some of our pages. Hoping John checks his messages soon and fixes the problem. In the meantime, you can work around it by clicking on "Account" (at the top of any of the main index pages) then on "My Preferences." Then select 20 results per page.
Very sorry about the inconvenience.
Merry Christmas, everyone!!
Appears fixed now. Everything’s back to normal.
Merry Christmas to you and your family, Jim.
Surely you're also going to have some figgy pudding for dessert...
Merry Christmas, HG.
Thanks for the heads up- the problem started after I upgraded to Windows 8 and I thought it broke Firefox!
Oh, wait.
Never mind.
no, none of the hints worked at all
it just came back in entirety, like magic! :)
Merry Christmas, Jim, and thanks for the update.
I *WISH* I had that “problem”. < BG >
I’ve tried everything I can think of to eliminate ALL the sidebars completely from my display, but no luck. All I want/use/read are the centre menu articles, but I still have the: latest, editorial, front page news, extended, breaking, weird stuff and Free Republic sidebars.
I’ve moved them all to one side, that seem to make their presence less of an issue for me. In fact I have even used the weird stuff sidebar a couple of times recently.
That others like them is fine with me, and I’m glad they are there for those folks.
Enough kvetching, I love the site, and whatever you do with it is your business. I’m grateful you allow myself and so many others to visit your living room and discuss the day’s events.
G_d bless you and yours, Merry Christmas and a Happy, prosperous New Year.
Yup. John fixed it.
Well, if you successfully moved them all, you should be able to disable them all with the same program. Just select “Disabled” on each sidebar block rather than Right, Left, etc, then click the Update button on the bottom. Merry Christmas!
Thank you!
How long has the “disable” command been in the selection menu? I don’t remember seeing it before, but it’s been a while since I last tried to change my settings.
Do I feel dumb now, or what?
Thanks again, and Merry Christmas.
Thanks for the help, Jim! You and John are the best! :)
