Some interesting news has broken in the wake of the latest push for gun control by President Obama and Senate Democrats: Obama sends his kids to a school where armed guards are used as a matter of fact.
The school, Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC, has 11 security officers and is seeking to hire a new police officer as we speak.
If you dismiss this by saying, "Of course they have armed guards -- they get Secret Service protection," then you've missed the larger point.
The larger point is that this is standard operating procedure for the school, period. And this is the reason people like NBC's David Gregory send their kids to Sidwell, they know their kids will be protected from the carnage that befell kids at a school where armed guards weren't used (and weren't even allowed).

and probably not with the same guns readily available to us peasants.
Paging Schmuck Schumer!
And exactly WHY should I be even mildly surprised by this? After all, King nObama and Queen Moose-chelle can do anything they damned well please, while the rest of us peons get to eat cake.
The ruling elite lives by a different set of rules than the people who pay the taxes.
The ruling elite has inflation protected pay, medical insurance and pensions. They do not obey the rules they make for us slobs who go out and work.
Armed Security for me, and a gun-free zone for thee.
After all, when it comes right down to it, the Obamai don’t care if the law allows you to kill your offspring in the womb or if you decide to let it live that it gets killed in a school shooting.
Despicable hypocrites.
special pleading
Definition of special pleading, noun
Argument in which the speaker deliberately ignores aspects that are unfavorable to their point of view:
“He has produced a piece of special pleading that does not wholly stand up.”
Example: “Wayne LaPierre and the NRA are idiots for arguing that armed guards belong in schools. Guns don’t belong in school ... uh, unless it is a school that my children and Obama’s children attend.”
David “Howdy Doody” Gregory
I was thinking more likely 11 that are known... Not to mention that many privileged children have their own security, not just the Secret Service for the first children. That school is armed to the teeth and the parents seem fine with that, the liberal parents just don’t think the rest of the nation’s children deserve the same. I think all children are important enough to protect.
But of course...
Congress doesn't have to use Obamacare.
Congress doesn't have to obey its own labor laws.
Congress is elite and doesn't have to obey the rules it imposes on the rest of us.
Frankly, I'm surprised Congress has to pay taxes.
Congress pays taxes?
I thought so, but given your question, I thought I'd check. The answer is, yes they do.

Maybe, just maybe because it needs to be said as often as possible in every forum possible. Someone from our ever vigilant press corps should ask Obozo about the guards at his kids' school at a Press Conference - but that will NEVER happen - not even with Fox.
I have been saying on various threads since this first happened that the Obama daughters have armed guards - so aren’t the rest of our children worth protection as well? Are those two MORE special? Very annoying!!
Thanks for your reference. Wouldn’t that be neat if lawmakers had to do their own income taxes? Justice. LOL
Liberal thy name is hypocrite.
I find it ironic this is historically a Quaker school.
“.... so aren’t the rest of our children worth protection as well?”
Of course not, silly. Our children are peasants. They are simply cogs in a machine.. future work horses. The children at Sidwell Friends are “privileged” children. Thus, their lives are far more significant to our country than ours.
***It is actually more than annoying. It shows the disparity of those in “power” vs “those of us who aren’t”. What is truly frightening is how easy the politicians, media, celebrities etc.. who are so willing to protect their precious kids and allow our babies to be targets.
