I have a question. How do you get cash?
I’m serious about this question as I would like to get away from credit cards in resturants when I can’t hold the card.
Maybe I’m missing something, but you can go to an ATM and make a withdrawal with a debit or ATM card. You can go to the bank and make a withdrawal in person during business hours. You can use a debit card at grocery stores, they offer a cash back in addition to purchase option. Some other physical retailers do as well. You can go completely Luddite and receive a physical paycheck, take it to the issuing bank and cash it. Many poor people do this, they don’t have enough money to keep minumum balances for an account themselves and cannot afford the fees.

I use my ATM card. Since I ONLY use it at an ATM machine, I never use it as a DR card.

Basically impossible. Just figure you are covered (for the most part). I primarily use AMEX and they are super-protective of their customers.
