If you thought the tale of how Mitt Romney lost the general election was already told, you would be wrong. Because there is so much left to tell, like how Mitt never wanted to be President anyway.

He sure campaigned like he didn’t want it.
I don’t buy it.
The GOP may have had a fear of winning but I think every candidate wanted to win. You just don’t put yourself through that hell without hoping you’ll win.
In the primary he campaigned like he didn’t want anybody else to have it.
Sour grapes?
if he didn’t want the job, why did he run in all the primaries for the nomination? (and he ran vigorously against a couple of other candidates I rather liked ... he wasn’t just coasting thru those primaries!)
I don’t buy this “never wanted the job anyway” story
BUT he sure looked like he changed his mind when he got into the general election. he gave that election away, almost (nobody could be quite) as bad as McCain did. DAMMIT!
He ran twice for goodness sakes. How does that translate into not wanting to do it?
Did someone push him to run twice against his will? Who?
??????? He’s been running for President since 10th grade for God’s sake. Of course he wanted to be President.
The GOPe making sure that the Republicans would never be a majority again cleverly sent in their Star RINO to lose the election to Obama. The next “Star” that will be called in to lose in 2016 is Chris Christie.....Eight year of Obama and Eight years of the Next Democrat pick and the US is finished.
I think that is very accurate.
I don't know how subconscious some of this might be (on the part of Mitt or any other leading Republicans) but I think there may be a sense that the country has problems that cannot be fixed. The guy in the Oval Office has a very unenviable job (largely because of the guy who is in the Oval Office). The president from 2013-2017 is going to be in charge of a disaster. Did any Republicans want that responsibility?
One way or another, I think Mitt went a long way in making sure that the Democrat got the post.
Yeah, and he wouldn’t have played so dirty against his opponents in all the campaigns if he really wanted someone else to hand the baton too. Does not compute.
A case of “sour grapes”.
I like Santorum. He was one of the few candidates in 2012 that I actually got excited about. I think he is correct: on the national level, nothing good will be done. The hope lies with We The People.
I know this Rino did not want conservative voters. Did not know he did not
care about other votes, as well.
Thanks for nothing Mitt you A-hole.
He started out as my 3rd choice candidate but I really grew to like him and believe he was our best hope for leadership in the small government direction.
Would explain why he fought light years harder against Republicans than he did against Obama.
Apparently Tagg has inherited his father’s propensity to lie unconvincingly.
