On Thursday in his weekly appearance on Hugh Hewitts radio show, National Review columnist Mark Steyn explained what was to be learned from Jake Tappers decision to leave ABC, where he had been the networks White House correspondent, for an anchoring position at CNN.
Steyn, author of After America: Get Ready for Armageddon, said that while the rest of the reporters in the briefing room at the White House have very uninspiring approaches to their questioning of the president, Tapper is the exception.
People think its odd that Jake Tapper, who is nobodys idea of a right-wing nut or anything, but hes the guy in there, the only guy in there, thats worth having in there who ever asks anything interesting in the hope of eliciting an interesting answer, Steyn said. And look at how much fun that guy has. If I were one of those nothing those robots in the room, those J-school zombies filing up the room alongside Jake Tapper, thats what Id be saying. Id be saying, Look at the fun this guy is having. Thats the only reason to go into journalism. Its a lousy paying profession. Its dying in the United States. I mean, its dying in a lot of places. But its dying faster here, and hes having so much fun.

simple and forthright; something a politician won't just understand
(hint: 0'Buttcrack / "Dirty" 0'Reid / "Weepy" 0'Boehmer...Government in general)
..you ARE Subservient / NOT the rulers...even in a Fabian Society
The end result of ABC replacing Tapper at the WH with just an ordinary lefty drone will just be smoother sailing for Obama at his press conferences.
As for CNN, I'd be quite surprised if Tapper changes the lefty political culture there much if at all.
Thanks for that, what a great guy he was.
Tapper gets to anchor, which is the top of the career pyramid, so, of course he’d take that. He brings journalistic credibility back to CNN, something in decline since the Gulf War, and eventually missing altogether, and as Steyn said, Tapper’s not a conservative, so there’s no chance of changing the lefty culture at CNN — viewers will do that. In a couple of years, who knows, we may be still sulking here about the Arab-backed co-opting of Fox News after their 24/7 smears of Israel during the next war with the Hizzies and Hamas, while remarking how much better CNN has gotten.
There was some FOX reporterette years ago to went to CNN. She didn’t last but a couple years and was never heard from again.

In 2001 Chetry joined the cable news network Fox News Channel as a general reporter In late 2005, she became a regular co-host on the network’s weekend morning news program, Fox & Friends Weekend...
On February 16, 2007, Chetry began work as a CNN anchor and correspondent Her first American Morning broadcast was on April 16, 2007 Kiran’s last day on American Morning and at CNN was July 29, 2011.

That’s her. She lastest longer than what I remembered but then I don’t watch CNN.

To Hewitt, author of The Brief Against Obama: The Rise, Fall & Epic Fail of the Hope & Change Presidency, the promotion was one that mainstream journalists should think about if they want to succeed.
I think Tappers promotion is deeply subversive of the MSM, Mark, because CNN, which is desperate has turned to the only honest hes not a conservative, Hewitt said. Hes not even close to being but theyve turned to the only honest reporter as a means of restoring their credibility, which does message to the rest of them if you want to rise, youre going to have to be like Tapper.
Steyn agreed with Hewitt, calling it a lesson to all the deadbeats covering the president.
I think thats the lesson here, Steyn said. Hes the only if you happen to be in an airport somewhere, and a White House press conference comes on, hes the only guy whose question and answer youre the least bit interested in following. And hes been rewarded for that. That should be a great example for to all the other deadbeats in the room. I dont understand why guys dont get it. There are great reputations to be made. Hes the prime example of it.
In addition to hosting his own show for the network, Tapper will also become CNNs Washington bureau chief.”
love that tagline...

Thanks - I’m proud of it myself!
