There is a popular notion on Free Republic that Kerry (who is rumored to have served in Vietnam) has something to do with Heinz and therefore Heinz is bad.

The CEO William R. Johnson appears from time to time on the Niel Cavuto Show. He is a solid Republican, perhaps even conservative in his fiscal views. He has strongly opposed the current administration and is a very solid American, even if he does live in Pittsburgh.

His recitation on ketchup was revealing and humorous.

Only by marriage. I have not purchased a Heinz product since... and I never will again.
