Any good it does for the city will be a side effect. That’s the second busiest freight crossing in north America and it needs to happen. The jobs will be there for the taking and the rest will be up to the people.

Once people start working they look at things a bit differently.

Another good side effect is that it will virtually erase one of the worst most run down areas of Detroit (Delray)

Do you think that people might come back? Or maybe non-native Detroiters re-populate the city? It could use some new blood to kick out the old guard.

I have absolutely no reason to, but I have a soft spot for Detroit.
