Newt Gingrich said that conservatives will have to accept marriage equality after three more states this year voted to allow same sex marriage and more will likely do the same in the 2014 election.
The former Speaker of the House said he didn

Yuck! My creative mind had a perverse image, after you said, “Who is his Bishop?”!
If Rick Santorum does run again, then I do hope that Rick, truly, becomes a small government conservative, instead of running and BEING a Big Government conservative! ALL of the major tier candidates for ‘12 GOP POTUS had too much leftist politics in them, and none of them were small government conservatives!
Does this mean that Libs will need to accept Debt Equality?
Does this mean that Libs will need to accept Working Equality?
Does this mean that Libs will need to accept Taxpaying Equality?
Does this mean that Libs will need to accept Responsibility Equality?
Just like we`ll have to accept every other pet liberal cause designed to destroy this country, right Newt?
Sounds like the Newt is getting in touch with his inner Establishment.
Shut up Newt.
During the primary, one FReeper likened Newt to an otherwise outstanding starting pitcher who has this strange tendency to throw the ball into left field with runners on the basepaths.

Sorry Newt, you are now officially dead to me.
“you don’t convert to Catholicism, you return to it. If you were baptized by anyone, anywhere, in whatever church building, arena, auditorium, wherever....you were baptized Catholic....no other baptism is possible.”
Not so. I mean no disrespect to the Catholic faith, but under this standard, most Catholics I know have yet to “return” to the Catholic faith.
“Returning” to the thread, as to Newt, he used the Catholic church in the most cynical of ways - to further his political career. Having failed, he’s compromising his supposed Catholic faith, just as he’s compromised every principle he’s ever claimed.
Newt is about Newt - find a cause, run to the front of the line and pretend to be leading the parade.
Newt fooled many, including the owner of this site.
I never minded being excoriated by the Newters, nor do I expect them to admit that they were fooled and used in the most abusive of ways.
They know they were used, and the private humiliation they are now suffering if they have any remaining pride or intellect is enough.
The future of the republic depends on returning to conservatism, both social and fiscal.
Educating a generation of voting Americans - including too many of them on this forum - that the stuff government “promised” cannot be provided without taking from someone who actually earned it will be no small task.
Identifying and promoting and politically uplifting this person is the only thing that matters right now. Avoiding the many “Newts and Romneys” in the political minefield ahead may not even be possible, especially with a rabidly hostile media that will accept nothing remotely critical of the obvious Obama disaster.
No, Newters know who they are. They will hopefully now be savvy enough to avoid being used again. There is no need to apologize.
Neocon Hannity loves Newtie; and Carl Rove.
He is extremely fond of that stalwart leftist LIEberman as well.
You’d never see the late Robert Bork, or any other true conservative, featured on his program.
With that said, Santorum is a clear Social Conservative and his record shows that he walks the walk, He also proved that his message resonated in the South and Midwest by winning the caucuses and primaries that he did, despite campaigning on a shoe-string budget. And he did take Palin's lead and attack Obama, unlike Romney. I have to respect him for that.
Concerning FR though, I was offended mightily by those sole-issue "fiscal Conservatives" who savagely attacked "St. Rick Sweatervest" and evangelical "Bible thumpers" for their faith and for daring to inject social Conservative issues into the campaign. How many times did we see the comment on Santorum threads that "we need a President, not a preacher" on this forum? It was a disgrace, and most of this came from the Newtsters.
As far as Newt Gingrich goes, I've watched him for years and he is a self-serving, wind-gauging charlatan who is only out for himself. I knew this and so did several others (who presented clear evidence), but we were all shouted down and threatened because apparently his record before 2010 "did not matter" or so I was told. That was as equally disgraceful as the attacks on the Faithful that went on here during the primaries.
So, Newt has finally exposed his true colors once again, and here we are.
guess yer next couch poster of greengrinch will have to include a gerbil ???
That is pretty good.
Newt always pulls crap like this. He always was dangerous in front of a mike/camera.
I didnt buy the Newt hype here early this year or late last year. He is a opportunist who was never that great at beating Dems.
HA_HA, I have to catch up on these pings now that plan B was defeated and a huge tax increase was avoided. Merry X-mas for all.
Well early this year and late last year we were lectured here that Newt was a *real* conservative (in the bid to beat Romney) and I kept posting proof that he isnt,
So does Newt now want to repeal DOMA to give federal benefits to same sex couples? That is the only federal level issue with gay marriage.
Well it was a tough primary with a bunch of bad choices but a great rule is to know exactly who you are fighting for.
Back then ~ a year ago I got cursed at a few times and even threatened (nothing came of it) by one of the Newt harpies for posting these on those 'Newt will save us' threads.
Gingrich Earned Twice As Much As Previously Disclosed From Ethanol Lobbying Group
Never?

He also has Sarah Palin on there fairly often, too.
Sure enough, there’s Valerie Jarrett. Never more than a few yards away from Boy Zero.
