The most convincing observation to me is that many would refuse to act due to simple attrition because this would be a suicide mission.
I also found it noteworthy that more would follow instructions to confiscate firearms if the order came from a Republican. The violation of the 2nd Amendment would be just as egregious, whether the oppressors wore blue armbands or red. It is not Obama that brought us DHS and TSA. Even though the author of the article prides on his disclosure that confiscation of civilian weapons through presidential order by local LE or the military would not happen for a myriad of reasons, the smugness should disappear when reviewing the replies. Those replies, frankly scare the sh*t out of me!!!
Those replies tell me that too many of the same people would engage in weapons confiscation if only a few modifications were in place, such as better training, increased personal safety, perhaps additional hazard pay or just change the political party affiliation of the person giving the un-Constitutional order.
If nothing else, this article opened my eyes as to how close the USA is to its end as a constitutional representative republic

It won’t be confiscation. It will be stagnation. Throw up enough hindrances to private ownership and they’ll fade away. Stifle FFLs by slowing or stopping paperwork processing. Expand coverage of NFA taxation and registration. Sure you can own what you want...if you can find a seller and a viable price.
