A top official with the National Rifle Association said Friday that President Obama will move to "destroy" gun rights and "erase" the Second Amendment if he is re-elected in November.
While delivering one of the liveliest and best-received speeches at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre said the president's low-key approach to gun rights during his first term was "a "conspiracy to ensure re-election by lulling gun owners to sleep."
"All that first term, lip service to gun owners is just part of a massive Obama conspiracy to deceive voters and hide his true intentions to destroy the Second Amendment during his second term," he said.
"We see the president's strategy crystal clear: Get re-elected and, with no more elections to worry about, get busy dismantling and destroying our firearms' freedom, erase the Second Amendment from the Bill of Rights and excise it from the U.S. Constitution."
Mr. LaPierre said the president's two Supreme Court appointees — Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan— are "two of the most rabid anti-gun justices in history." He also accused Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg of being a foe of gun rights.
And with the possibility of two or more Supreme Court justice positions opening during the next four years, the NRA official warned that gun ownership would be in jeopardy if Mr. Obama stays in office.
"If we get one more like those three, the Second Amendment is finished," he said. "It'll be the end of our freedom forever."
Mr. LaPierre, who said "there is no greater freedom than to own a firearm," predicted that gun owners will rally en masse to defeat Mr. Obama in November.

Adam Lanza clearly was not worried what people would think about him or his actions.. He brutally murdered his own mother and 20 harmless, innocent children. Why would he seek to hide what is on his computer hard drive? He left a legacy of evil, so why would he care what was found on his computer?
Who was Adam Lanza corresponding with via his computer? Did someone commandeer his mind via electronic correspondence or messaging to execute this evil plot? Why the destruction of his computer hard drive, the only piece of evidence which could prove this possibility?
Concerning his second term agenda of abolishing the Second Amendment and private gun ownership in the United States, 0bama could not have asked for better justification than the Sandy Hook massacre. Events always seem to just play right into 0bama's hands, don't they..

Not even Obama, much as he would no doubt like to, can simply `erase’ a Constitutional amendment. It can only be repealed by the passage & ratification by 38 state legislatures of a brand new amendment.
Look up the 18th amendment (Prohibition) and the amendment which repealed it (the 21st) and see just how easy that was.

Think about joining the NRA and having a collective voice in
retaining your new gun. Finally, buy a lot of ammo. If the SHTF, an empty gun does you no good.
Can he unilaterally overturn immigration laws and openly refuse to enforce federal laws such as DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) without Congressional approval? I’d just be curious to know if he can do that.. Just curious..

Overturning laws is easy. Confiscating 300 million weapons? Not as much.
Of course not, but he doesn't have to. An executive order can effectively ban any number of defined firearms or ammunition without even touching on the 2nd Amendment.
Taxation is another means of limiting ownership of firearms or ammunition, just look what they did to the tobacco industry and the current smokers.......
...and how many firearms enthusiasts supported the government on their attack on smokers? One only has to look at the tobacco threads to see how many current members had no concern for them.........

The president can make an Executive Order (EO) to ban weapons but an EO is subject to a lawsuit just like a congressional act.
You can dilute it until it is effectively repealed, because it cannot be enforced. That’s what all those court cases are about. New constitutional rights are invented, old ones disregarded or studiously ignored. It was like that back in the beginning, with the Alien and Sedition Act.
Or just tax it to death like leftards do everything else they disapprove of.
Easier than you think...If I posted a notice here that the BATF has sent me a letter stating that several of the firearms I own are no longer legal to own and that if I do not turn them in they will come to my house to confiscate them, will you leave your job and drive to my house to help me make a stand? Not likely, instead the thread will become an argument board filled with false bravado from some and others who would criticize me. That's just the way it is.......
How many of the current members here remember Randy Weaver and Waco and how many of them came to their rescue?
Many folks here talk a big story but I'm sorry to inform you it's an "all men for themselves" mentality now since everyone has jobs and families that come first before helping some poor schlep who is under attack by the govt.......
