He could have killed her without a gun, and taken his jolly good time to break into any safe. Most would succumb to a day or so of serious effort. He would have had the time.

He KILLED his mom to get access to her guns. What if (all of) the guns had been locked in a gun safe? One that he did not have access/combination to?
