...Then declares himself a Twitter martyr because people quoted what he said
Erik Loomis is an assistant professor of American history at the University of Rhode Island. He also blogs at Lawyers Guns and Money blog.
In reaction to the murders in Connecticut, Loomis tweeted that he had never been so angry except maybe for the invasion of Iraq (I guess 9/11 was chopped liver to him), and that he wanted the NRA chiefs head on a stick:

Clearly its time to ban assault sticks.
BAN PROFFERSORS!
It’s never pretty when the curtain of the loony left is drawn back for a full frontal view.
Yeah, right. I’d bet this same professor would wring his hands over whether Major Hassan could keep his beard.
Wonder if Prof.Erik Loomis is willing to confront the NRA in single combat man to man. Winner can do what he wants with the head of the loser. Oh I’m sorry, Professor Loomis, didn’t realize you were speaking metaphorically from your tax supported position. Everyone is a bit touchy these days.
I believe these statements by the “perfesser” and others could be easily interpreted as a “terroristic threat”.
It looks like the liberals are calling for civil war.
This is the kind of nut that goes off the rails. More likely thought he will incite some impressionable student to commit the crime. What seems like a metaphor to him may be interpreted differently by someone.
Loomis claims that conservatives can’t think for themselves.
Oh, the irony.
But, but, but, crosshairs was a threat according to the left, not a metaphor. Sounds like the lad, cause he certainly is not a man, needs some woodshed edumacationing. Metaphorically speaking, of course!
Gunner
Head on a stick????
Respect tradition, man - it’s “head on a pike”.
Sheesh!
Traditionally only kings (and dancers for the king, when he gives them authority) can ask for someone’s head.
1) who made him king?
or
2) go confront him yourself and see how that turns out professor-boy.
To accomplish this a knife would be required. Would he then start a campaign to ban and seize all knives?
You know, getting pretty sick of all of these calls for BULLYING out of the mouths of libs, progs, whatever they prefer to be called now. Isn’t BULLYING the Obama Administration’s TOP priority? Guess it matters on who is doing the bullying.
"On a steek, Senior!"
