We are not helpless against gun violence ... unless, of course, a government edict forces us into a disarmed helplessness.
They always go looking for God once the shooting starts. I guess that does validate the old saying, “There are no atheists in foxholes.”

I think he is wrong, and here is why.

The writer is an avowed Liberal, which really means a small ‘c’ commie. And, like all commies he is either unfamiliar with the Constitution or is deliberately lying (probably the latter).
Given the fact that when the American Revolution began, the US government had to rent cannon and war ships from individual citizens. It is not plausible the WsPo writer did not know that.
The Founders were very clear about their belief that the citizen had a “right and duty” to be armed.
Had the Liberals and commies in Connecticut not violated the Constitutional right of those three murdered school employees by banning their Second AMendment right to be armed, they would not have had to stand before the shooter like a Jew in the Third Reich.
Perhaps, but not likely, Connecticut will finally accept their responsibility to be armed.
My guess is that like all such cravenly cowards (which is what a Liberal really is, when it comes to a choice of Liberal Agenda or further risking of their children’s lives, they will have learned nothing - they will snivel and cry, whine and demand anti-gun laws.

We Conservatives are often armed, and getting more so daily.
Those murdered children were in a super Liberal state and the citizens had voted for commies/Liberals who passed anti-gun laws.
Karma is, indeed, a b*tch, and those parents of the murdered children chose to live in a Liberal state and send their children to a Pooblik Skrewel Collective which was loudly proclaimed to be a Gun Free Zone.

Generations later, the game is over as the problem is beyond the talking stage. With Muslims bent on violence as a way to force Sharia Law in America, and Aerica’s commies of all flavors hoping to Cloward-Piven America into bankruptcy as a path to acceptance of socialism, the future looks broke and violent.

Why don’t we train all able bodies adults to rush the shooter?
The current regime trafficked thousands of similar weapons to bloodthirsty gangs in Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and Chicago in the hope that public outcry over the body counts would make it easier to disarm American citizens.

If there was a General Officer anywhere within one thousand miles of DC who took his duty seriously he would arrest Zero and company right now. Unfortunately they are all more concerned with their pensions or girlfriends or what the hell ever than our country.

I think the principal and one other tried that. Lesson? Taking NOT EVEN a knife to a gun fight is a bad idea. Better to be armed.
Look at the demographic. They’ll continue to have what firearms they desire. Most of the same demographic is also, not surprisingly, trying to violate the Second Amendment rights of most Americans with its policy putsches.
