Oh I forgot to congratulate our new President Pro Tempore of the Senate, the illustrious a***hole Patrick “Leaky” Leahy.
May his tenure be short.
Damn unions, whatever broke their spell over the frozen north of Alaska?
Any good he may have done as a soldier was far outdone by his decades of raping lady liberty as a politician.

Alaska had a sense of rugged individualism amongst its populace which differs from Hawaiians. Hawaiians are too laid back in their island paradise and far removed from a lot of the real-life cares and demands of the world. They haven’t faced a serious threat to their way of life since 1941.
Alaskans are closer to the way Americans used to be before they were conditioned to be dependent, overpampered babies by big government. It’s not a “laid back” resort state and takes a special kind of constitution to want to live there. While most Americans wouldn’t mind visiting there, living there is something else entirely, especially during the Wintertime.
