Dan Rather on Rice Withdrawal: Obama Can Be Rolled for His Wallet and His Watch By Fred Lucas December 17, 2012
(CNSNews.com) Former CBS News anchor Dan Rather said President Barack Obama looked weak for allowing United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice to step aside from being nominated for Secretary of State.
He should have said shes my nominee, lets take it to a vote. Because what has happened today plays into the perception, the perception thats been growing among the Republicans that in street language, President Obama can be rolled for his wallet and his watch, Rather said during an interview on the Rachel Maddow show on MSNBC. Hes not a guy whos going to put up much of a fight, even when he feels strongly about it, even when he has a strong emotional and loyalty quotient, wont fight for it.
Obama never formally nominated Rice to replace outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. However, most reports indicated he was likely to do so. Rice appeared on five Sunday news programs and gave misleading information about the terrorist attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya.
Rather continued, For me, personally, I think its a little early to make that judgment. But that perception is out there. And what happened today plays right into that perception. Another way of youve heard it said, President Obama plays soft, hes too soft.

It’s good to see ol’ Dan attempting to lift the dialogue.
Which is, of course, why Boehner appears willing to give Baraq the farm in the cliff negotiations. It's hard to 'roll someone for his wallet and his watch' when you negotiate lying on your back.
Rice was floated specifically BECAUSE she would be denied.
Sounds crazy?
That way not only could the left suggest that GayMuzzie had been slighted upon her denial, but they could then throw it into the lap of an old white guy who is a consummate insider.
Smart !
Rule as a non-changer but look like a big shake ‘em up guy.
Has Dan got footage of Obama being rolled for his wallet and his watch. Sorry. I forgot. He’d have to create it before he can show it.
Hey Dan, why don’t you dig up some documents on Rice.
John Kerry is ambitious and will be carrying Obama’s Certificate of Loss of Nationality in this back pocket. Like DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano and Hillary, Kerry will soon be working out of his home office on an as needed basis.
First I hear demented Mike Dukakis may take Kerry's seat and now they drag another fossil out of the grave.
Do they ever die, talk about a CAT and 9 lives, wow.?
Sorry dan, you still have NO credibility.
I detect racial overtones here...
The return of “Tank Boy”???
Bronco Bama doesn’t carry a wallet. He spends other people’s money.
During Islamic holy days he doesn’t wear a watch, or a ring or ear piercing jewelry.
Rather doesn’t carry a functioning brain.
Obama Can Be Rolled for His Wallet and His Watch
Rather is so out of touch with street lingo....
Punk(Obama) got jacked for his ‘dead presidents’ and bling
Rather’s slang is played out, nigga never had any juice...
More like half the country was rolled when they re-elected him.
You can't withdraw from something you were never nominated for.
Where did the name “Bronco Bama” come from? I must have missed a few days or something. lol
We don’t want his wallet or watch Dan. We want him cuffed and hauled out of our House, and tried for treason.
If he was rolled for his wallet and watch, it would probably be by someone who looked like his son, if he’d had a son.
Wondering if the Smithsonian will want that Tank and Dan Rathers word processor for display.
Why I bet they could even put on display those TWO old FOSSILS themselves.
Just need to give them a Fossil name, WIKI says:
"Fossils (from Latin fossus, literally "having been dug up") are the preserved remains or traces of animals (also known as zoolites), plants, and other organisms ..."
Zoolite organisms work for me.
THAT SOUND LIKE RACISM
