Dan Rather on Rice Withdrawal: Obama Can Be Rolled for His Wallet and His Watch By Fred Lucas December 17, 2012
(CNSNews.com) Former CBS News anchor Dan Rather said President Barack Obama looked weak for allowing United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice to step aside from being nominated for Secretary of State.
He should have said shes my nominee, lets take it to a vote. Because what has happened today plays into the perception, the perception thats been growing among the Republicans that in street language, President Obama can be rolled for his wallet and his watch, Rather said during an interview on the Rachel Maddow show on MSNBC. Hes not a guy whos going to put up much of a fight, even when he feels strongly about it, even when he has a strong emotional and loyalty quotient, wont fight for it.
Obama never formally nominated Rice to replace outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. However, most reports indicated he was likely to do so. Rice appeared on five Sunday news programs and gave misleading information about the terrorist attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya.
Rather continued, For me, personally, I think its a little early to make that judgment. But that perception is out there. And what happened today plays right into that perception. Another way of youve heard it said, President Obama plays soft, hes too soft.

HOw do you know that Dan?
Did someone give you a xerox copy of a 1970’s document that looks suspiciously like Microsoft Word?
=========================================
Rice dropped out not a moment too soon. She had several Sunday TV talkers lined-up.
Rice planned to tell the Nation that the WH's Benghazi talking points she was given included the tidbit that not only did a youtube vid result in the deaths of four Americans.......
.......but that Pearl Harbor was sparked by a Charlie Chan movie. (This is common knowledge in Chicago Dem/political cricles.)
ROTFL.
Dan knows that - he's doing his part to echo the Administration's spin. Make Obama appear a little weaker so there will be no MSM opposition to the Socialist steamroller he is operating on other fronts.
More like my wallet and watch.
It’s all a cosmic joke anyway, could there be worse than Kerry and Hagel?
During the election a You Tube circulated, a three year old who was sick of hearing about the candidates said she was sick of Bronco Bama. Try searching on You Tube.Pretty funny.
Thanks.
Is this 0’s, Eagleton moment we’re behind you 100%?
Is that true about watch and ring or nonsense?
Who do they have? Cuomo, an intensely ugly governor of a bankrupt state.
They have NO ONE who will be able to take up their mantel. Why do you think someone as bad as Obumbler could get elected as a Democrat.? The question is, who is the new Obumbler?
What’s the frequency, Kenneth?
No, the question is, who do WE have?
Bobby Jindal, Marko Rubio, Sean Parnell, Rick Scott, Rick Snyder, Susanna Nartinez, John Kasich, Mary Fallin, Nikki Haley, Bob McDonnell, Scott Walker, Paul Ryan, Mike Pence, Rand Paul, Kelly Ayotte, or dozens of other people of REAL accomplishment and generally strong Conservative beliefs.
You may say that Some of them, or all of them, are not Conservative enough, but they are one heck of a bench.
Dan Rather using street language LOL
You are correct however, we have to see one of the quality candidates get the nomination. So far and thanks to our own party, that’s been unachievable
EXCELLANT question.
When the Flower children bloomed, at that time I said "One of those SOB's will be President one day....came true.
So, now look to the OWer's.....in that bunch of SOB's will be the new leaders of the DNC.
Happy days........rofl
What Rather means, but doesn’t dare to say is that the perception IN THE MEDIA is that Obama is weak.
