Wow a whole thread (so far) with everyone in agreement about the conservative credentials of someone.
I half expected there to be a few naysayers and/or purists pointing to some obscure fact that completely discredits the man.

As I said before. The color of the man’s skin is ( and should be ) irrelevant. It’s his RECORD that counts, and he HAS a track record for all to see.

West was in a swing district. It was one that a conservative can win, as long as his tone is more moderate, or if that conservative ran in a wave year.
Scott is in a conservative district. Which means he could do what he wanted. He’s just naturally less bombastic.

Good luck to Tim Scott. I’m sure the all inclusive dems will welcome him with open arms. Well, maybe not. If he’s a conservative R I’m more inclined to believe they will try to marginalize anything he does or tries to do. Not that they are racist or anything. Nah, not them.
