Very good news. In a way, West may have done him the favor of drawing the Left’s fire over the past two years, while Scott sort of stayed under the radar.

West was in a swing district. It was one that a conservative can win, as long as his tone is more moderate, or if that conservative ran in a wave year.
Scott is in a conservative district. Which means he could do what he wanted. He’s just naturally less bombastic.

I expect democrat opposition research starting right now as to whether he made any money out of subprime mortgages in his portfolio...
