We need ‘Mental’-Free-Zones
or maybe more appropriately —’Meds’-Free-Zones
Big-Pharma has some explaining to do....
When does it get blamed on AGW?
SHOUT IT!!! Everywhere.
It is still morally offensive to me that only cops can carry guns to protect themselves.
As more facts trickle in regarding this latest school shooting, we are finding that it perhaps wasn’t quite as out-of-the-blue as the media would like to portray it. The kid had problems, the mom had lots of guns laying around evidently not properly secured, and there were incidents where she reportedly feared her own child. Yet just like the Zimmerman/Martin case, captain Zero needs to rush right in there with his pre-planned agenda that just needed “an incident” to put into motion.
There is an article posted here that says he was on Fanapt, a schizophrenia drug. I found it buried in the article and posted about it in the thread.
It’s not the meds, it’s the illness. My son in law’s brother is schizophrenic and refuses to take his meds. He is threatening to kill his mother because she had the father removed from life support on Saturday. He died early this morning and now they are looking into having the brother involuntarily committed, but that just isn’t that easy to do, even though nurses and social workers have witnessed his behavior.
The doctors say that the brother’s schizophrenia is the result of heavy early drug use, mostly just marijuana. The man is 52 years old now, 17 years older than my son-in-law.

“With just one single exception, the attack on congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in Tucson in 2011, every public shooting since at least 1950 in the U.S. in which more than three people have been killed has taken place where citizens are not allowed to carry guns.”
My first thought was the University of Texas clock tower massacre in 1966.
I have a vivid recollection of a dozen frat boys pouring suppression fire on Charles Whitman with their hunting rifles.
The death toll was 13 dead, 32 wounded, and probably would have been much worse if Whitman had the time to carefully select and aim at his targets.

I’d like to know if the father gave a shit about this kid’s behavior.
SSRI's given to the wrong person can be as potent as LSD. It's not boogieman junk science it's stone cold fact. I've seen it happen to my wife. Her life was a living hell for 5 days. The doctors did not PDR the SSRI's for adverse reaction. That reaction has a clinical name of Serotonin Syndrome. I am also among the group of people who can not take antidepressants.
The media screams blood murder about Benzo class medications like Valium, Xanax, etc. I doubt there has been one mass shooter on Benzo's alone. Doctors use SSRI's to treat anxiety. The problem is anxiety can simply be a secondary condition caused by neurological damage. Unless a doctor does an extensive medical history such anxiety causing issues as Vestibular and Optical Sensory Processing Disorders can go undetected. SSRI's do two things to such patients. The bring on more anxiety by bombarding the damaged sensory processing system with more sensory impulses. Patients with these type of issues are more prone to Serotonin Syndrome.
If you mention the term Serotonin Syndrome to most doctors they will say whats that? I told my wifes doctor {house doctor not our own} she had it and showed him the alert written by HIS Hospitals Pharmacology Professor. He told me that it was pure rubbish at first till I said do you know the person who wrote it then? This was at a university hospital.
Six doctors and two shrinks did not know what they were seeing. Yet SSRI's are given out like candy even to teens. In the meantime the media goes bonkers after Benzo usage because some Hollywood Morons booze up and do Benzo's and end up dead. Well Duh!
My wifes used Xanax daily for 27 years and I have for over 17 years safely and effectivly. Proper dosage and consistent in blood stream dosage means everything. The fact she was taking Xanax while taking Zoloft likely saved her life as Benzo's are the protocol drugs used to stop Serotonin Syndrome. It takes weeks for antidepressants to leave the bloodstream just as it takes weeks to build up but at any point in that time and after Serotonin Migration from stomach to brain can occur. Benzo's bloodstream life where it can have any effect is 12 hours tops closer to 8.
I don't discount or scoff at the good antidepressants do for many patients. However the general widespread ignorance of the potential adverse reactions by those in the medical field even mental health is astounding and down right frightening.
My wife is a quadriplegic with fair use of her arms and hands. She thrashed and literally beat herself black and blue while it happened. Even after taking her off all Meds and having her return too normal mental state and then again giving her Zoloft and it started up again in an hours time they still didn't catch on.
Another contributor to the high body counts is the insane policy of school lockdowns.
Lockdowns are reasonable if the threat is outside the building and the chance of entering using force is minimal.
However, once inside the building, a lockdown just creates a barrel full of fish waiting to be executed.
We have seen this over and over and over again, but school security does not change lockdowns to escape.

I think the media and its 24-7 coverage of such things gives potential mass murderers that they will achieve some sort of sick fame as a result of their actions. Time for the media to quit the 24-7 breast-beating coverage.
"...the mental-health issue. A lengthy study by Mother Jones magazine found that at least 38 of the 61 mass shooters in the past three decades displayed signs of mental health problems prior to the killings. New York Times columnist David Brooks and Cornell Law School professor William Jacobsen have both suggested that the ACLU-inspired laws that make it so difficult to intervene and identify potentially dangerous people should be loosened."
Exactly.
Remember when Nancy Pelosi told us everyone must be happy with Obamakkkare because, alas, she didn't see anybody who was unhappy. That was the botox talking.
I think it extends to the school/theatre/church/shopping center shooting situation ~ the big dog Democrat politicans fail to see the real emotions on the face of the people and imagine it's time to trot out the old failed policies of the hoary past.
Here's to Dick Durbin ~ I AM UNHAPPY DICK ~ give up the botox and we'll talk!
