why watch or even read about this propaganda anymore???
It's a dirty job, but someone has to watch/read/listen and filter through the propaganda to mine out some kernals of truth.
Then, there are those who are just gluttons for punishment and feel watching/reading/listening is their burden to attain catharsis.
Finally, sadly, there are those who don't have anything better to do. Or their remote is broke and they are stuck on NBC and have to watch David Gregory because they don't know how to change the channel at the TV frame.

That last one must be one of Dante’s Seven Circles of Hell, Tom.

We already know why we watch. To see what the enemy is up to next.Know your enemy if you want to defeat him.

This really shouldn't be about guns. Such killings are not preventable by passing laws and confiscating guns. Our society is producing these sociopaths who are alienated from the community and living in a fantasy world--much of it created by Hollywood.
With 40% of children being born out of wedlock, an entertainment industry focused on violence that desensitizes people to violence, disintegrating communities with fewer people attending church or participating in community events, and the advent of technology that makes it easier for the atomization of society and less interchange with their neighbors and colleagues, is it any wonder such incidents take place?
The mass media and the entertainment industry should do some soul searching instead of pouncing on gun control as the culprit. And so should our political elites who are fanning the fire of division within our country on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and wealth. Obama has been a divider not a uniter.
