It is not the schools responsibility to teach about Gd. It is the parents’. What did huckabee teach his kids? The one monster tortured and hung puppies. He’d get my “ most likely to shoot up a school” nomination.

Huckster got this one right. We need daily prayer in America’s public schools plus I would start off the day with 20 minutes of jumping jacks and calisthenics. Not that any of today’s edumacators care about that.

Gay and feminist agendas in and (daily) prayer out summarizes it

God brings virtue into a society. Godlessness removes it.

"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

Most of the lib sites are reporting Huckabee’s comments on this as “outrageous.”

I’m sure they’re outraged, as he is calling out their world view.

What Christian doesn’t believe this? The correlation between “God out of schools” and the demise of decent society is apparent.

Certainly a contributor.

But that wasn’t the case in the Amish school here in Nickel Mines, Pa., not far from me. Religious teachings are an integral part of their schooling. And yet, this same horror was visited upon their classroom.

The amount of violence that children are exposed to these days via video games puts them in another world. I have never had them in my home.

Many causes, turning away from God high among them.

As I understand it, the shooter was autistic which means he had no sense of God.

Not just the classroom, but the entire country. Just look around you.

When I was growing up in the late 40s and 50s, we all said the Pledge of Allegiance every morning. The flag hung on the wall next to the front blackboard in the place of prominence. Then the teacher read a verse from the Bible which was kept on the teacher's desk (usually from the Psalms or Proverbs). Then we said the Lord's Prayer. If there were special needs, the teacher would also pray for them. We centered on the important things first and then we continued our normal day. This was in a public school, mind you, and it happened every day all over this formerly great and honorable nation.

That all changed when the atheists and secularists sued (Abington vs. Schemp, 1963) and the Supreme Court assented to their lawsuit and took God out of our class rooms and the public square. The country has gone in a down hill direction ever since in every way.

I've seen the progression all my life. It is evident as well to anyone who cares to look and see it.

The awful fix we are in nowadays is no accident. Our national degeneration will not be cured by more gun control or stricter laws or tighter security.

When you forsake God, He gives you your wishes and lets you stew in your own folly and sin and that of others. That is what is happening in our national life as a nation. Our death spiral is getting steeper and accelerating.

The cure is simple and obvious, but not popular in many quarters because of Political Correctness: we must let the God (not just any God, but the real God, the God of the Bible!) back into the affairs and fabric of this country where He was honored for almost 200 years before we cast him out. If we don't, this burgeoning evil will never be stopped and cured. Our unrepentant sin will continue to impel us downward into ultimate destruction just like all the other previous doomed kingdoms of this earth. We will end up as slaves to our own sin and to others.

That is how the world works without God, and that is our future if we do not repent from our wicked ways and seek His face.

“Huckabee did not mention guns, gun culture, or assault rifles in talking about the country’s latest mass killing, but said on Fox News: “

I guess the reporter has no interest in video games as being a contributor.

Boy, if this debate turns into getting God back in the schools, then those kids did not die in vain.

But I doubt that will happen.

There was a time when morals were taught in schools. How many shootings took place before 1963 when Madaline Murray got any mention of religion taken out? When the religion went, so went the morals.

I blame it on the pressure to NOT criticize Islam.

Moslem dream of killing American children 24/7.

And some fools believe they will be put in the history books by following the herd so to speak.

It doesn’t help that the faux POTUS Obama is a Moslem supporter.

This is just as stupid as blaming guns. Belief in God is no indicator as to whether or not someone will murder others.

I agree with Huckabee. Read The Marketing of Evil by David Kupelian. He chronicles how we got to where we are and is a real eye-opener.
