He said nothing about gun control today. He said something like we have to come together about problems causing these shootings. That could be being watchful of people who are in psychological trouble. I have no doubt gun control will come up later, but it wasn’t there today in his remarks. You are going to see “gun control” in everything he says because you believe that is his only motive for speaking. And, you are right in tune with most everyone here.
I believe, today, he cared about 20 dead kids. He surely wants gun control, but today he cared that 20 kids died. That is the only point of my posts.
That can have no other meaning than a reference to gun control.
But I think a large part of that is likely tensions spilling over from having been through the election as well as tense cliff negotiations.
I think Obama thinks this event will mark a new phase in his presidency or something which he will milk for all it's worth. No...the cliff is still out there and the fight is still on for fighting his social program. Liberals milk emotional events. But this will end up getting him nowhere.
