My butt . . . . this NYT reporter is reading straight from the WH script.
No he won’t.
No No No! It’s BUSH’S FAULT!!!
Hogwash.
Why would he have to own it?
He’ll blame Republicans, progressive statists congressmen will blame Republicans, the media will blame Republicans, unions will blame Republicans, college professors will blame Republicans.
So again, why would he have to own it?
Hahahahahahahahahahaha!
Obama will do just what he wants to do at the time and
whatever that is will be just fine with the media.
The Kenyan will never have to own a bad economy. His state controlled “media” won’t let him. Their “messiah” can do no wrong. It has to be somebody else’s fault.
Whatever the Republicans think, say or do, they will own the consequences of anything obama does.
That’s just the way it is in the obamanation.
April 2013 First quarter GDP hits -2% . . .
April 2013: HELENE COOPER: "It's Bush's fault!"
I expect him to be a proud owner. Anything that makes America weaker and George Soros stronger is good in Obama’s eyes.
Obama will just consider it...mission accomplished.
Blah, blah, blah, blah. Nitwits have been saying that kind of thing for awhile now. The MSM will never go there and Fox News will only broadcast what gets ratings and sells commercial time. They’re all crap.
The only thing more idiotic is when I read a post or article that begins “bombshell”. Be assured that it NEVER is.
Why in the world isn’t Boehner and the other Repubs screaming at the top of their lungs that it is Obama who will be responsible for going over the cliff because he is the one who won’t negotiate?
They are either complicit or idiots. Or both.
Obama always gets what he wants and the Republicans get the blame.
Hey lady! 0bama don’ havta’ do nuthin”! Where ya been?
That's simply NUTZ.
Zero knows if we go off the fiscal cliff, several good things (from his perspective) will occur: (1) tax rates will rise on all American taxpayers (the roughly 47% of non-taxpayers would be unaffected, so why should they care, as long as they get their "bennies?"); (2) Defense spending will be cut by some $300 billion (the defense sequester); (3), discretionary spending will be cut likewise but I doubt 0bama loses any sleep over this, because such would be priorities for instant restoration, and he can handle that.... Meanwhile, he fully intends to place the blame on Congressional Republicans for the ensuing financial debacle, and is pretty sure he can make that charge "'stick."
This is what worries pusillanimous Republicans in the House, notably, eminently including Speaker Boehner.
But I say to them, it is preferable to go over the fiscal cliff than to negotiate with this guy especially if they have to cede heaven forfend! the power of debt ceiling increase to the President, and yet another round of federal fiscal stimulus/"investment."
I say since 0bama claims a "mandate" from the last election to raise taxes, let the taxes rise on everybody alike. Let ALL the Bush era tax cuts expire; let the economy tank; let the jobless numbers rise; let businesses fail across the board.
This is precisely what the unwitting supporters of President Zero voted for on November 6th.
I say to the Congressional GOP: Let these feckless voters SEE exactly what they voted FOR. Get out of the way, and let 0bama take us over the cliff, into a profound recession, a credit downgrade, potentially leading to national bankruptcy.
Though there will be terrible suffering involved (likely including my own, and my own family's), I think it's better to "nip the problem in the bud" as early as possible, even though it leads to sharp suffering in the short-term. That, to me, is preferable to "death by a thousand cuts," which I believe is where Speaker Boehner is leading us, with his naive belief that President 0bama is the least bit interested in "negotiating" with him.
0bama's plan for reducing America and the Constitution is proceeding apace. He thinks he "wins" whether we go over the fiscal cliff, or gets concessions out of Boehner.
He thinks he's sitting in the cat-bird seat, that he "wins" either way....
Anyhoot, JMHO, FWIW.
Just one last thought: "Pride ever cometh before the fall."
For me, the quote describing the media’s and the Dem voters attitude towards anything Obama does comes from the vapid “Love Story:” “Love is never having to say you’re sorry.”
If there’s blame to be had, Obama will shift it to Bush, or Boehner, or the Kochs, or anyone else... and as far as the MSM is concerned, he will be successful in so doing.
If Obama does end up "owning" the recession, can he sell it?
