ROSS PEROT!
Regarding unions...the company is ALWAYS right.
and when they said, fire I ducked.
NICE!
Oh, I'm going to have to strongly disagree with you here...
It has nothing to do with it being legal or not. But the fact is, the media sells THEMSELVES as being nonpartisan and not biased, and that is a big lie.
Maybe it's the word complaining, so I'll say--we shouldn't complain, but rather educate. We need to attack the media over every little lie, smear and innuendo, as well as their ommissions of facts that contradicate the meme they're trying to build. Twist and turn their biased questions like Chuck U. Shumer does. Hog the microphone, don't be little boy blue Milquetoast Mr Nice Guy.
Attack, attack, attack. NEVER surrender. Challenge them every step of the way.
Frankly, when's the last time we did this? Spiro Agnew? I think Agnew did a pretty good job taking the fight to them, if only the majority of conservatives had joined him.
Don't go on their shows. If you do, bring up the bias right away--call them on it. Bring up well published examples that, for example, Accuracy in Media or Rush has EVERY day.
I strongly believe it has been our quiet, no rebuking and rebutting of Left Wing media bias and advocacy that has led us to where we are today--in Obama's soon to be second term.
There's no way this communist should have been elected in the first place if the media had done their job telling the truth about him, and, MOST importantly, Republicans and conservatives alike going absolutely off the f'n handle when they didn't.
Bush didn't defend himself and neither did McCain. We stood by pretty much idily while the excoriate Sarah Palin and Christine O'Donnel, to name a few.
The fact that we DON'T have a vocal sense of outrage anymore is what's doing us in more than anything else, in my humble opinion.
Hear here!
Well the point is that whatever the Heritage Foundation internal memos may have said 20-30 years ago about single payer and individual mandate are now being used by the bad guys to discredit HF and call the whole organization hypocrites or flip-floppers.
HF does not abide by those repugnant views now and they are certainly one of the few organizations we can tie our line to - at this time - until they start to drift from their morings.
or “FUGOP-e!!!”
THANK YOU FOR CLARIFICATIONS.
Great essay, bray. My only quibble is that the word, “scientists” should be “pseudo-scientists.”
Yeah I know. That’s what is so scary. At the same time I’m not a 100 per center either. If that’s all that there is on them its not the end of the world. Especially when you read the context of it all.
I gotta tell ya.Five years ago I thought Bennett was a died in the wool RINO. Today I think he is morphing, changing. He sees all the destruction that rinoism and the liberals have caused and I don’t see him nearly as liberal as before.
Is he as conservative as Hannity, Rush or Levin?Probably not. But, IMHO far different than five years ago.Once again not a hundred per center.
After reading the entire story I tend to agree with you.Besides that few organizations are 100% of anyone’s viewpoint. IT’s hard to find anything bad about Heritage in conservative circles.
I think Wm Bennett changed when media had a field day over his gamling tab in Vegas.
What happens there, stays there, unless you’re a Republican.
The main thing is media, and even some friendlies, try to destroy any good thing conservatives can cling to and gather around (e.g. Tea Party = (all of a sudden and inexplicably) Racist??)
They decapitate our leaders (W) and anyone aspiring to be such (Cain, Rubio, Palin, Bachmann, Rush.
They leave the weak pretenders alone (McCain, Mitt, Dole) knowing full well they will not reach the finish line.
We must believe in some people, even if they have some warts and scars. But be wary of the charlatons (I better not cite any examples here).
Yep, it was apparent within hours after it became public that I had hit a home run. Everybody played their a parts exactly as I said they would. The most brilliant part was getting out of the way so my words were all they had to work with which they couldn’t smokescreen.
Pray for America
Excellent rant and I agree with you.
“The mediots are who determine which theories are valid and which need to be rejected and they of course are members of the cult. The media has decided to promote every tenet of their religion from evolution, feminism, veganism, racism, homosexuality, choice, Global Warming, hate the wealthy, communism and every other lifestyle agenda the establishment considers normal. The only miracle is that after forty years of political and cultic brainwashing is the American dream still lives in half of this countrys citizens. After being mocked and vilified for all of these years Conservatives still have the ability to make these elections competitive considering the overwhelming forces standing against them. There are still people willing to stand up and proudly proclaim their faith in God as well as their trust in individual responsibility.”
The same views are being promoted in our universities, which are supposedly repositories of knowledge.
I remember that you could be right.
Exactly, if we don’t learn to fight back and counter the DBM we are in big trouble.
I agree with you (therefore let me add, your post is brilliant ..ha).
I learn a LOT from Bennett’s guests and I think he is more and more articulating his conservatism.
Don't worry about it.
"Only sure way to keep from making mistakes is to do nothing at all", sez the old seer. Nice thing about this joint is that there's a whole mess of smarta$$es around to check your work, but none of us attach blame since we know only too well how often WE screw the pooch.
